Come on, I just played it the first time ever and just finished. This was my first impression about Fiona and the elves. Never seen or read any discussions.

Yes, I don't know how I missed this incredible story so far. But I'm glad I did, because now it took me the whole weekend to get through it. Should have done a bunch of other things, but just couldn't tear myself away from this story.
And I still didn't get enough of it by the end... So sad about Finnabair

I mean, I have some clue how extensive and complicated the whole Gaelic mythology is and I recognized quite a few names and characters, but not at this level of detail. It's very interesting.

I just thought that Fiona might be lying about her Irish roots as a cover story, but Tuatha Dé Danann fits her perfectly, which means she didn't really lie about anything.

I love how all the legends and myths are mixed into this story. Nothing from Kalevala yet, but we already have a Finnish girl name, so I wouldn't be surprised if Väinämöinen popped up somewhere, playing his kantele or Ilmarinen forged a sword or axe for someone.

tbh I still need to look at the lore thread but since I have zero knowledge about any of it I haven't made the effort to look at it yet. The only thing I even know / recognize is King Arthur and lady of the Lake but that is from tv / movies lol.

To be fair, we are still summising about Fiona...but it fits, especially the other sword also. Are we right? I guess we'll find out eventually hehe. Ceo done an excellent job of weaving and blending different stuff together, truly awesome job.

I'll be keeping the L&L thread up to date btw as new stuff is revealed or added etc as well as the pdf walkthrough (as long as Ceo would like me to, he is, or was considering the idea of doing one in-game so we shall see).

Still a sore spot. In every game I have MY Li - might not be the only one I'm with in all cases, but it's the one I'll end up with - whose side I'll be on in all things and in this game that was Finn - which makes things difficult and doesn't bode well for future relations with the Templars.

We don't know what happened. Maybe it wasn't the Templars? I mean, herds of hellspawn are roaming around the trade route and -station and they already tried to assassinate Medb and likely leave the legendary sword next to her body that Álfar knew as being "stolen" by the Templars. And they tried to kill the MC on his way to Álfheimr. They would have likely made it look like the Álfar killed him.

We only know what the Álfar think happened, but not why they do so or what actually happened.

Maybe but for me it doesn't matter much. By the time I went to see the Alfar I hated the Templars as an organization and, at the very least, disliked all of them individually. I suspect that the little boy that Fionna saved grew up to be Steroid Kevin and if that's true - then my relationship with Fionna will be over because she'll be too closely tied to the Templars. So, I'm inclined to believe Medb and if they were involved in any way, I'll be out for their blood - I don't care why they did it or what exactly happened or even who started it. If I can, I will bring the head of Finn's killer to her parents.

This Sayo is the only non caucasian templar shown until this moment. All others are descendents of former templars who were from european descent. She must have quite a story. It should be interesting having her as a side girl.

Hey everyone,

Tempus fugit... time flies. It's Friday already... I managed to do everything I had planned for this week which means I finished the remaining renders for the next test build and created said build. I also did some tests on it and moved on to the next scene.

The new scene requires me to create 4 new environments, 2 of them are done, 1 is being worked on right now and 1 planned for next week.

I also started rendering and coding the first parts. As I said before, this scene will keep me busy for a while.

The numbers for this week:
93 new static renders for a total of 1690
0 new animations
319 new lines in the script file for a total of 5041

Hmmm, an interesting updte. Ceolag is now averaging approximately 70 static renders, 1.8 animations, and 210 lines per week since work on Chapter 6 officially began. Here are the charts:

Lower numbers than last week, but still quite steady. More interesting are the previews; seems like Fiona is next up in the spotlight. As much as I'm thrilled to see more of her, I do feel like it really should have Elea, who is still far and a away the most underutilized LI.

If Elea gets her own scene after Fiona (or in parallel with hers within the game) that would address the problem, but with the obvious downside that we'll still have a lot of work left to do on this development cycle. That still seems preferable to putting Elea off to Chapter 7, but I guess we'll see what happens in a month or so when Fiona's event should be winding down. For now we can just enjoy the pretty pictures!
