The progress is roughly two chapters a year. Ceolag plans 10 to 12 chapters which implies in 5 to 6 years until the end.

Where did he say that?

Hey everyone,

February was a shit month in several ways.
First, I caught the flu, which knocked me out for more than a week, and then we had a very critical health issue in the closest family circle. Sadly, the last one is still ongoing.
In short, progression wasn't as good as I wanted it to be and what I'm used to.
It sucks even more because I have roughly 4-5 weeks of work remaining and wanted to get that done until end of March. Right now, it looks more like April... if life spares me with more crap.

I'm sorry, that I don't have better news, but sometimes life just keeps throwing wrenches at you.
Be assured, that every free minute I have goes into finishing that damn Chapter.

As of now, Chapter 6 contains 1988 static renders and 54 animations.

As usual, I'll attach a few preview renders done in the past month.

Cheers,
Ceo

I was thinking: Ceolag's biggest challenge at this stage is rendering everything, and I know that takes time. If he sent the DAZ project to a few of us, we could render it on our computers and send it back to him. That would speed up the progress significantly.

Interesting, not a word on Patreon or Discord so I'd take it with a huge pinch of salt.

Sure. Have you any godamn idea at all as to what's actually involved in rendering something?

Yes, I have some experience with DAZ 3D Studio. I have created scenes and rendered them, including some simple animations. In this case, I would only use computer power. Ceolag would create everything and send the scene in a project file with the specifications for rendering. Then you just leave it running. It may take hours, but I can go to work and leave it there.

It's the dev log on Steam from last Sunday.
And judging by the numbers, the current chapter is only 400 renders and 1000+ lines behind Chapter 5, the biggest chapter in the game so far. And it already beats it in animation count. So April doesn't seem too unrealistic if everything else goes well.
