As far as I remember Linnae is the only one who mentions recruiting as something vital to the future of the order, but Roland is against it and as a consequence their ranks are dwindling. I don't remember Kaija and Hilda mentioning anything about templars accepting applications and candidates.

Linnae in the bar. She also told MC about templar positions being filled by descendents, only. Another reason why I suspect MC's parents are lying about MC and Jess being related to them. They would not allow the order lose two members after their deaths without training their children to substitute them as was done with them by their own parents.

Adoption is a possibility, but it would be a waste of good storytelling. The order seems to act all over the world and employ people to support the training as Kaija said she trained in several countries, but I don't think it is a multicultural entity as it is clearly stated that most templars are descendents from former templars. You can see that in the composition of the council: they are all caucasians. Linnae is a scandinavian name, Roland is frankish, Helga is old norse, etc.

The organization is nearly a thousand years old and operates globally; that's plenty of opportunities to pick up some foreign genes. Sayo could be an anomaly with a unique backstory, but there's no reason to assume that based on what we currently know.

Almost certain that Templars don't just mate with other Templars. If they had been doing that since 1300, the inbreeding would have made them nearly useless by now - not just for fighting but for functioning in the world.

The numbers for this week:
46 new static renders for a total of 2085
20 new animations for a total of 96
165 new lines in the script file for a total of 6022

I'm done with the animations (for now) and will focus on the remaining script and static renders for the current scene. After I'm done, I can create the next test build.

Regarding the "hospital topic:" still ongoing is probably the safest thing to say. As of now, it seems my mother survived the infection but she's still in coma. So we're taking the small wins and still hoping for the best.

Historically speaking, you're actually right. Even in ancient times, people always traveled on the left and ships were also designed accordingly, which is why starboard is also on the right. But thanks to the French, people now drive on the right side (almost) everywhere.

Well, by the raw numbers Ceolag is now averaging approximately 65 static renders, 3.0 animations and 188 lines per week since work on Chapter 6 officially began. Here are the charts:

Unfortunately, it's difficult to tell what Ceolag means by being done with animations. He could mean he's finished rendering all the animations he expects the chapter to need, or it could mean he's finished posing all the animations he expects Fiona's scene to need. One is much closer to the end of the development cycle than the other, but without preview images or information on the scenes themselves we can only speculate which is the case. Perhaps we'll learn more next week.

For now, at least the animation count is soaring and the real life news isn't getting worse.

I assume based on what I call storyteller mode. She was introduced as a character with distinct characteristics for the sake of storytelling. A simpler explanation isn't the way storytellers usually work when developing fiction.
