Regaring, Finn and Medb, that story arc was exactly written to increase the Relationship (not only LI points) with Alfar, unfortunatly for those who liked Finn, she was never thought to be a LI or Side LI she was created how Ceolag said just to unify MC and Medb, and set the stage for the journey, (the goal was earning Alfars respect)

the story allows you a unified path wit Alfar and Templar from what I understood. But outcome still to be seen (on all paths of course)
as pointed out repeatedly in the thread, the conflict is not between Alfars/ Templars it is between corruption and power this threatens not only the Humans (Templars) it threatens all species, Alfar , and the other.
Eleas, and Fionas path, is still to be developed, so yeah they're Bland at the moment, I delibartly left Kaija out of this, because given the 3 paths you have with her it is more complex she is one of the better written characters, in this Novel.

I think Ceo might have messed it up a bit if that's the case because I'm 100% with the Alfar no and 0% with the Templars. Unless it's for revenge, I want absolutely nothing to do with the Templars or anyone who is with the Templars. But, while I'm "unified" with Medb, I see her as a mother figure not a Li.

would that bring Finnabair back? , It would at least close and allow the MC to move on, (what he has to do anyway)
who would that serve ?
what will be achieved if you claim 1000 times the life which was taken ?
and after slaughtering (probably the Templars, which have no right to revenge their losses) the culprits, what then ?

I would absolutely kill whoever killed Finn, without a second thought and regardless of the reason they did it. Personally I think it's what Finnabair would have wanted but regardless it's what I want. After learning that MC's parents and childhood friend/girlfriend had betrayed him, the same organization then killed my Li. They all, IMO, deserve a painful death. If I can't have that though then I want absolutely nothing to do with them - not one more conversation with any of them. I'd join the hellspawn or the Neverwhere cartels before I'd help the Templars.

I haven't kept up with the discussions here, so I'm probably just spouting nonsense now.
But perhaps everything that has happened is intended (by the dev) to make the MC forge his own path, to gather his own allies and not rely on any of the established groups.

The MC will not ally/allign with any of the known factions. This has been said by Ceo.

As much as I would love to avenge her, there are two things...

First of all, we need to know what was her mission because as far as we know she could be sent to do something not exactly friendly against Templars and possibly they had every right to defend themselves. Maybe someone else should be responsible for her death, someone who sent her on this mission.

Second thing, you have sword (and kinda source of your current power/skill) which should be used exactly in the opposite way than you just said. Not with anger, not with rage, not for revange. Would Finn want MC to avange her? I'm not sure about that to be honest...

As for the first one - it doesn't matter. Like I said, I don't care "why" only who. I don't care if they were justified, or enchanted, or tricked - I just want a name. As for the second, I think it's what Finn would have wanted, and it's definitely what I want. I don't necessarily have to use that sword, I can use the other one or, (I'm assuming this is set in the States) I can pick up a shotgun at Wal Mart. If I can't have revenge, then I just want nothing to do with the Templars at all (collectively or individually).
