I think it's my reaction because (other than Jessica) MC's relationship with Finn was the only meaningful relationship so far, and she was the only interesting character. Anything else that's going on - with other factions or whatever - have little or nothing to do with me, and aren't my problem. I'm not a Templar, have no intention of becoming a Templar and wouldn't save them if they were on fire and I was walking past with a bucket of water. Their battles are their battles.
I understand your sentiment. I have no infinity with the Templars either. I'm just saying we have no idea how or why Finn died. Was it the Templars? Was it that third faction, the ones that seem to want the Templars and Elves at war with each other? What was Finn doing? Until Ceolag answers these questions, anything is possible...

what does this mean ?? sorry for my ignorance
I've been seeing it a lot lately and don't really know what to do with it !
As mentioned, it means "sarcasm". I tend to use and misuse it a lot when I'm not being so serious, or when I present a scenario that isn't likely true.

In this instance, I used it because I don't believe that Finn was really going to assassinate the MC's sister. I was just presenting a hypothetical scenario.

I'm just waiting to see what's in the next update. For me the murder of Finnabair is a bigger deal than the betrayal of MC by Kajia and his parents. So I'm waiting to see how the aftermath is handled, but unless there's a good revenge path I'm probably done with this one.
Hellspawn tried to kill elves when MC and Kaija were touring Nightside (ops, Neverwhere). I don't have any reason to believe otherwise: she was killed by a third part who is interested in throwing both side to a war, like in the plot of Sum of all Fears by Tom Clancy.

I got the conveyed message in your post, and how I already said, I'm a very sarcastical person, I just was wondering about "/s" never had problems to identify sarcasm, I use emojis, to hint that I'm not too serious about what I'm posting,
much apreciated your response I love learning new things

I see that, but at this point I'm inclined to believe Medb - who has been more open and honest with MC than his parents or his "girlfriend" ever were. The way I described my feelings about the Templars was basically the way I felt *before* I went to see the elves.

Siding with the elves are the best option to keep oneself out of Templar's vigilance. All over the world and in Neverwhere their presence is intrusive and they would keep watching you no matter what.

there won't be siding with anyone, MC will remain neutral in the game
If I were you, I'd save the text of your post to notepad or something. You'll have to paste it quite a lot in this thread in the future.

The "kill everyone in a faction" meme is fun, but quite a few people seriously think that's the point of the game.

I know, it's just a musing. This kind of game is complicated to develop because rendering imagens for multiple paths is demanding. If it was a text game as those of Choice of Games it would have been possible to give your own personality to MC and choose sites, forge allliances, and hit multiple endings.

We will see. I have no reason to doubt that Templars were at least involved. I don't think that Medb would have said it that way, with such confidence, if they weren't involved at all.

Medb claimed with utmost confidence that the sword belonged to the elves.
And that the MC planned an alleyway attack with Hellspawn...

It sort of did, at least Medb had the best claim to it of anyone that we know if since it belonged to her (adopted - human) brother. We don't know where it was for the last 700 years but didn't MC offer it back to her when she told the story?

No, it is implied that it belonged to her brother, she told MC then it was stolen (disapeared) from the Alfar, but didnt claim it back after she learned about the encounter from Nimue, and that the sword had "chosen" the MC
(Nimue gave her blessing more or less in the scene on the lake)

I think there is a deception underway and a multi-pronged plan to drive all parties into war. Whoever is doing this is planning something big and needs to eliminate or weaken two factions to make it easier to seize power.

Wasn't it lost due to brother being butchered in a templar massacre?
It "belonged" to elves from the paladin days till the brother took it over.
