Given your love for Nimue I'm starting to think you should play some games about love and of course magic, something with gods, werewolves and maybe Excalibur
I suggest Love of Magic. Ceolag asked permission to use Nimue from the dev of that game. It was his inspiration for starting to develop his own game.

Damn it, man. Just started playing from the beginning again for the first time in a while. One line. One fucking line that I missed the importance of the first couple of times just completely changed my opinion of Kaija.

Nah, makes no difference to me. She's known about you, and your parents, and the Templars and all of it since you were kids together and lied about all of it. By the time of her business trip (first time I played, before I, as a player knew about the Templars) I was convinced they were in a bad relationship and should break up. But it turns out that every minute you've known each other she's been lying to you about everything, dropping a few obscure hints that you can't possibly pick up on, isn't going to fix that for me. If it turned out she had been cheating on you the entire time as well (which is possible) she wouldn't actually go down any more on my list. She's already at the bottom. I believe that she's sad and has, at least some, regrets but she made her choices. She has no one else to blame and I would never trust her again.

Yep, and then she immediately corrected your misunderstanding of "neverwhere" as "nowhere" just to make sure you would know, for the first time in a decade of lies, that something was up. OR, sometimes people just can't resist the urge to fuck with your head. I don't discount that Kaija can be fitted into the LI role, and I'm certain it will be an interesting path to explore. Overall? She's much better suited to be the tragically spurned tool of the Templars.

I took it a different way. From the MCs point of view it's a nonsensical statement that has no meaning to the MC. IMO she is making a statement that mocks her ignorant partner. Although, it could depend on which path you are on. I didn't take notice of that statement with the different paths. So maybe the tone changes. Even if she did mean it as an attempt to be honest it still doesn't make up for the lies. I'm not saying you are wrong or I am right, I'm just saying I took that statement differently.

Like everything else about Kaija, it's open to interpretation. In this case, Kaija will only call the MC and mention Neverwhere if he texts her earlier in the chapter, but it doesn't seem to vary based on your Kaija points.

Personally, I take the call as her trying to reach out to the MC despite her operational restrictions, then answering in a way she hopes will mean something to him later - i.e. saying something deliberately confusing so she'll be forced to explain it later if he remembers. It's not much, but it's as far as she can convince herself to bend the rules at the time.

Now, it's entirely possible to see it as her dicking with him instead, but I don't really think that fits some of her other characterization - particularly her insistence on explaining the situation to the MC in full at the start of Chapter 2. YMMV.

I'm treating it all as a case of shattered trust. I no longer want anything to do with any templars or anyone connected to them. Kajia is out. Everyone at the insurance company is out, because the Templars control that and who knows about the people who work there. Even if you spill everything and they act shocked, who knows if they're being honest. Fionna is out because - who knows? You know there is big stuff she's not telling you and that alone is a big red flag. Kate at the bar is fine because you drink, you talk about music, talk shit about the other patrons and one time you fucked but you don't have enough of a relationship that it matters. The only people you're sure aren't connected to the Templars are the Elves, and the bastards killed Finn so I'm going back even angrier and less trusting than when I left. (And I burned bridges and said 'fuck the Templars' to Nightingale.)

I don't think any of us were in doubt about your feelings on Kaija, Pix. :p

Haha, how little do you need to hate. And what about all the bullshit theories that she was selling her ass in Neverwhere for information and other nonsense?

But what's funny, even tho I like Kaija, I also do not remember this phrase in the conversation, although I played from the beginning many times. I wonder if it was always there or the phrase was changed in the last update.

In love route she was feeling bad with the secrecy and the strain her double life is putting on their relationship. She is about to tell something, perhaps not about his parents but about the organization, Neverwhere and her role.

There is much more. The epilogue of the last chapter proved my point about MC and her sister being "special" and hints the reason for the secrecy and monitoring.

Romantic relationship -> terminated
Friendship -> terminated
Work relationship -> unfortunately, but I'll work on ending this one too!

No offense but her regret means fuck all to me. I could wipe my ass with her doubts and attempts to try and be honest for once in her life.

She irrevocably fucked up the literal second she entered a romantic relationship with her "mark". That's inexcusable and unforgivable. I could maybe find a way to forgive her if she had had the decency to keep their relationship friendly while she kept an eye on him. But entering a fucking romantic relationship under that level of deception and dishonesty is abhorrent. If she ever really loved the MC she tried to have the cake and eat it too.

Fuck her! (not literally though!)

Relatively speaking. I work for the CIA, no one knows about it, I told my wife everything top secret and killed her, profit!
Stop demonizing Kaya, she was young and didn't know what to do, and when she grew up, the moment was already gone.
She didn't sleep with your sister behind your back, for God's sake.
