Relatively speaking. I work for the CIA, no one knows about it, I told my wife everything top secret and killed her, profit!
Stop demonizing Kaya, she was young and didn't know what to do, and when she grew up, the moment was already gone.
She didn't sleep with your sister behind your back, for God's sake.
Of course not, what she did was a million times worse than sleeping with my hypothetical sister behind my back. And you can't (figuratively) demonize a demon. There are men behind bars who literally only made a single mistake in their life. I remember the case of a 16 year old who got drunk behind a wheel and killed a pregnant woman. Penance does not erase a mistake.

As for her being a kid? Respectfully fuck off. If she is old enough to join a secret organization she is old enough to understand what a romantic partner is. She is old enough to understand what dishonesty and deception are.

How in the fuck can anyone that possesses the ability of critical thinking excuse that worthless bitch? She accepted the mission to protect the MC. She accepted the terms of entering a romantic relationship in order to better be able perform that task. She spents YEARS by his side, had countless oportunities to tell him the truth or grow a fucking conscience and realize that what she was doing was not fucking ok and she chose to carry on with the deception.

How in the actual fuck are we still arguing that anything about her behavior is excusable? I accept than one can forgive her for her mistakes but I can't accept anyone that tries to downplay or excuse what she did.

OK, and you loved her so much that you immediately jumped to: Elea, Fiona, Valkyrie, Kate, Anissa, Helena, Finnabair. Underline what is necessary. Or did you keep your holy grail for the Medb?

PS It looks like "My wife says she worked as an ice cream maker, but there was no ice cream in our house."

Kaija has a Clan related honor problem. It comes from her ancestors in Finland who were disgraced at some point and most of her actions are attempts of restore their dignity. She almost left the templars when asked to monitor MC, but accept because duty and honor issues and in the love path she starts to question everything. She even agrees with MC about his view of the Templars. Until the hellspawn resurge, generations of Templars patroled the wastelands in Neverwhere to pick fights with Elves patrols. They departed after some casualities from both sides, healed, rested and all over again. This sumarize everything the "Shield of Mankind" is doing: small skirmishes against elves. Now they declared war and the only thing that will happen according Kaija is that those skirmishes will be more frequent, sort of hit and run. We should demonize MC's parents more, because they lied to him and Jess in the question answer session. The epilogue of Chapter 6 shows that they are hiding even more secrets and the monitoring and secrecy is related to that.

There is much more. The epilogue of the last chapter proved my point about MC and her sister being "special" and hints the reason for the secrecy and monitoring.
That's fine but still fuck alllll the templars. I'm handling the rest as a free agent and have no trust for anyone, except the elves to a degree. I won't willingly help the others.

Even under the scenario you laid out - it may be her job, and she may be doing her job properly but you can't expect the person she faked a relationship with since they were children in order to stay close to just go "wow, you're really good at your job" - obviously trust is broken, and that person is going to keep them at a distance afterward. You would have to be insanely gullible and submissive to do anything else.

"I'm not distrustful - just grown up. When someone tells me something's a secret, I treat it as such. I'll keep my mouth shut even if they pull out three of my nails.

If she told MC she's a Templar running missions in Neverwind... yeah, that'd be hilarious - for about two minutes. Then we'd be calling an ambulance with a straitjacket on standby.

What really got to me was how she dedicated every waking hour to that job. That's where I draw the line: 'I get not disclosing where you work or who for. But when your job starts destroying our relationship, that's my red flag.

To me it had already destroyed their relationship. The first time I played before I knew about the Templars, when he was offered a promotion and couldn't even get a text from her, I decided that they were in a crappy relationship that needed to end. As for the rest, she's a good spy but I could never trust someone who I'd known since childhood and who had, with a straight face, looked me in the eye and lied about absolutely everything - even when it was directly related to me (literally). I could never again assume that anything that came out of their mouth had any passing relationship to the truth. She was never even a friend, not really.

Bro, even pulling out one nail is a fucking painful, and looking at this shit is also scary. It's definitely not worth it.
Yeah, there's a alternate world where crazy elves, demons, Chet Pussy, and Bolek and Lelek live. And on our side, all of this is being covered over by a bunch of crazy reenactors who dress up as Templars, and the most fucked up of them all pretends to be Jason Statham. What a fucking shocking secret! Trust me, it's not worth a nail!

For me, it was the flashback in the conversation with his sister. This shows what happens when friendships turn into relationships, and when things go wrong, you lose everything, literally! This is a big theme in so many VNs, and the characters are so afraid of it.

All I know about this whole story is that you shouldn't stick your penis in Queen Mab. :BootyTime:

By the way, this explains why King Oberon has no children...
