1440p and 4k are indeed somewhat overkill for an AVN I'd say. 1080p is the sweet spot. Any lower than that I don't like. And compression doesn't usually change the resolution itself.It was better than a wall of text about the human eye and what it can and cannot see along with a dissertation on why HD and 4k are over the top and not necessary. Besides, Bob's compressions are great!
Mostly what folks see is a slight difference in contrast and sharpness and that makes them feel like it's clearer. The reality is that the eye isn't seeing it any differently but the brain is making different assumptions about what is there. Everybody has differing taste. I like the increased download speed and less wear and tear on my hard drive. My brain thinks the girls are just as hot at 1080p as they are at 8k!

The best graphic artists know that making the original render at a very high resolution will produce the best results when it is reduced and formatted for optimal consumption. No Parents, no Kaija, no Elea, no Fiona, no Mebd, no Elves, no Templars. That was all great! Nightinfail scene was fine...didn't bother me too much.

Pretty much no story. Kinda felt like a filler. No Kate, no Mac, no Nimue, no Park Lady, no Twister Girls made me sad
Nothing about my relationship with Finn was translated into this update. Quite the opposite actually. The game just assumed I had full points with her when I had none at all. Might as well have killed the bitch duting the duel I guess.

You need to take the advice about playing it for yourself and forming your own opinion, IMHO. If you are interested in Kaija, Elea, Fiona or all three there is a lot of content for each one of them in addition to what the Finn mourners have mentioned.
