Taking D&D/Pathfinder as a reference, magical influence can skip several generations before resurfacing, furthermore MC has shown a certain aptitude for magic in past chapters.
Magical abilities wouldn't fit for any generation of the Templars though. They were born out of the Medieval Catholic Church. They would have burned people for demonstrating magical abilities.

I'm sticking with my stupid theory that MC is descendant of Medb's "brother".
Perhaps even their whole family, which would make them related, despite parents not having any powers.
Finally, we get to highly dangerous situation, where their powers awake (Mordecai books do that, and obviously not just them, but those first came to mind)

Yet Medb's "brother" was part of it, as well as in the past they were allies with the elves

so you get to plow your "cousin", and then later the "Aunt"? Finally the incest we've been waiting for in TNT.

But Madb did not say that her "brother" has any abilities. I'm going to say a very far-fetched version now, but what if MC, in theory, is a descendant of Queen Titania or Queen Mab, who knows, maybe before they became queens, they hung out in clubs neverwhere
This would explain the appearance of Queen Mab and her words about high potential.

Medb's brother wasn't an elf though, he was a human that they adopted as an infant. Not magical (as far as we know - other than having the sword).

Which would make him strongly "colluded" with the elves, who we remember were their allies, to enter their ranks according to your theory. Also, it is not certain that the "historical" version is accurate considering that demons exist.

Ok, so we just need a 3rd and we are the 3 stooges..... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: on a serious note: yes that thought has crossed my mind as well and I deem it very plausible.

There are also no Templars we know of who have any magical aptitude at all. And it's one thing to be able to do a spell or two and another to be able to throw fire from your hands with no preparation, no spell, no potion etc. I think it's safe to assume that one or both of their parents aren't actually related to them.

But there is not even indirect evidence for this.
Only if his mother is actually a former valkyrie, and his father is the same brother Medb. Schizotheoria. :BootyTime:

That's the best part though! Narrow minded? The Templars and Elves are literally two drooling retards fighting each other over rocks, sticks and dirt as they chew on crayons. The problem is that their dumb squabbles may end up hurting humanity in the real world.

I'm playing from the perspective of someone who wants to burn down both sides. Who wants nothing to do with Neverwhere. All I want is prevent any threat to the human people. I have no desire to engage with either faction beyond that. And the game has been allowing me to do that. That's awesome!

I don't give a shit about Fiona's family because my MC doesn't even know her. He saw her once while running. Helena and Elea are just coworkers he barely interacts with. Ties with Kaija and parents are cut permanently and it shows on my playthrough. The only issue was my hatred for Finn was not reflected AT ALL. Which is weird.
Inspired by your post, I also followed the path of the "Lone Ranger," but in a slightly less strenuous form. I shot the mercenary, which immediately earned me 4 points for Medb. I also earned 3 points with Kari. The training with Finn was important to me because only then do the two weak points in EP 6 become apparent (not so much if you're on the Kaija path).

1. Did the MC even understand what the Alfars taught him? Answer: NO. Nightingale's attacks during the sparring match were the same attacks he was shown during the session with King Oberon. What does our little MC do? He's totally surprised by these attacks. *shakes head*

2. Did anyone see our lazy MC doing any kind of training in this episode? There were a lot of them: prove me wrong, but it was three weeks. I consider this a huge mistake! *shakes head*

We'll see where the MC ends up.

Wolfram already pointed out this plot flaws, only on the Kaija Love or Friends path, there is a slight hint to the Training, (although I don't know because I trained with both, Kaija and Linnae on those 2 paths.
I think that these flaws will be corrected in future updates.
I also chalk up some of these plot holes to the situation, what Ceo had in RL in this update, usually he is more exact in his writing.
as well on the Elea path it came across a bit rushed, I expected more foreplay on her path.
Still I'm happy with the unfolding of the plot, and outcome of this Chapter, shows only that a bit of tweaking is requiered on the "Celibacy" path.

The evidence is that they are both high level magic users without any training. Which very likely means the parents are still hiding something. If the parents both have blonde hair and blue eyes and the child has dark skin and an Afro - someone has a secret they aren’t sharing.
