fiona is such a babe. i keep wondering what she is, though. the effect she has on mc's third leg makes me believe she's not entirely human. considering she's from ireland maybe some sidhe (fairy) mixed in. or a merrow? hmm.

And for those hunting, apologies for the delay, have been silly and annoyingly busy the last couple of weeks (as my limited posts around here show). Barely had half hour to myself before someone or something required my attention. When I did get some time to myself, I'll be honest and admit, it wasnit always at the forefront of me wanting to work on it.

However, the walthrough should be done and up tomorrow. Have just sent to Ceo for final approval and then will get uploaded.

It would have prevented me. If I was still with Kajia I would have kept way more of a distance from Finn, not just because I wouldn't have cheated but because if I was still with Kajia and she's still a templar, just being with the Elves would have felt like something of a betrayal. I don't know if I even would have spared Finn in the first place.

I generally don't feel like Ceo's "neutral" thing is working, or is going to work narratively - not unless he makes us hate them both.

I'm seeing the story developing to where the MC will establish a 3rd group to counter the bullshit of the first 2 and actually do something about the Hellspawn (and whoever is responsible for this mess to begin with if it wasn't them).

I mean, he's potentially got :

1. a whateverthehellFionais (Tuatha Dé? Witch?)
2. a Valkyrie
3. Kaija (if you don't completely alienate her)
4. his sister with a nice ass and fire magic (perhaps even his not-sister, eh? )
5. whatever Mac the bartender happens to be (whoever he is he gets visits from Valkyries)
6. Elea who could be the sort of "brains in the chair" coordinator type, and who knows what else.
7. Perhaps even Medb if she can be persuaded away from the Alfar if you were Finn's friend, and maybe even Lady Nimue (shit wouldn't that be something).

MC could form the Neverwhere Justice Buddies or something!

But I don't really see it that way. I see the Templars as the bad guys 100% - a rare combination of arrogance, incompetence, stupidity and malevolence (individually and collectively). There isn't one of them I like or have any respect for. Once we got through the rough introduction, I didn't meet a single Elf I disliked nor did they say anything I disagreed with. I want revenge for Finn but otherwise I want nothing to do with any templars - to the point where if Jess decided to join them, I'd cut her off as well. If it were a choice, I wouldn't have even gone back to the same job, because it's controlled by the Templars. And I feel like the only way Ceo can "fix" it, and put you back sort of in the middle, is to force you to reconcile with the "parents" (possibly using Jessica's injury but maybe later) - where you're in a room together and you patch things up with no choices - which would kill the story for me.

No he can't. There's a big difference between being able to enter the base and having access to a council chamber where his father the grandmaster currently is and trying to gain access to a prisoner in the dungeons. It's not like he can pop in there while pretending to look for the bathroom.

As for stopping the war, how? He's one man and he barely knows his way around one city in Neverwhere. He has no power, no way of communicating, no money, nothing.

At this point the war is inevitable, and the only way to stop it once it gets going is to prove a third party instigated both sides. For that he's going to have to explore a lot more, get a lot stronger, and gather some powerful allies.
Now, he's very, very lucky in a way, because if he does actually find proof, he is someone both sides would listen to, at least assuming he didn't kill Finn himself. He knows the leaders of both groups.

You aren't wrong there. He just kinda went back to his job of...what the hell does he even do again? Is he a secretary at an insurance company or something?
For what it's worth, Kaija did mention something about him getting some training in with her before facing off against Nightingale, and we never saw that, so I'll just assume he's doing some training off-screen.
And as for Kari, yeah, he should be able to get word to her relatively easily.

Yeah, it was not a good update. The MC seems to come back from what should have been an extremely motivating / triggering event (one way or the other) and just sorta goes on holiday - answering emails, watching TV, hanging out with a Li (or not) - as if nothing at all happened really. I've been waiting for months to find out how MC (on my path) handles Finn's murder and the answer, so far, is that he doesn't handle it, just kinda shrugs and goes back to work.

well they obviously expected a different outcome. Medb was fine with the duel since she somewhat knew the guy was not a proper templar and had no training while her daughter had and she was still pissed about having to let go the templar grandmaster. But they missed Durendal from their calculations. Finn lost, and now they are mad. "What are you gonna do, stab me"? --> surprised pikachu face

My problem with this whole drama is that her dad saw his own daughter loose against the MC in the woods. Then the very same stupid daughter tells her mother (MedB) that she lost against MC in the woods and now wants a duel to death. Nobody prevent this duel from happening, even knowing that the stupid daughter already lost against the MC the very same day with the very same sword, but if MC kills her exactly like she wanted herself (she literally says that one of them has to die, no other option, while having a sword pointed at her throat), then MedB gets super mad at MC. Really mommy??? This is the consequence of YOUR actions, don't blame the MC for what YOU let happened bitch!

I think the most interesting part is Fiona's family right now
So, dev left some clue for us: MC has incredibly strong arousal just from her kiss. So logically speaking, Fiona may represent any of these 2 parties:
- demons (succubus for example?, but not regular, more similar to Arueshalae )
- dark Alfar

Probably not Tuatha Dé Danann, since those are rather godly in nature, but maybe a branch of Sídhe (as far as I know of Irish folklore they are somewhat close to Elves, so it would make a lot of sense in the story). Her family might even prove to be the antagonists, since they are described as people who love to meddle and make other fight each other...so Elves vs Templars fight might prove entertaining to them. We shall see what Ceolag cooks for us next updates.
Or...she's a werewolf ) This might be out of the blue...but she apparently can talk to dogs (if Orla is indeed a dog and not some supernatural being) and she had a few moments watching the moon. This is probably a stretch...but it's also on my bingo list ))

I don't know what she is (not a human for sure) but what's interesting is that when she kisses MC, he has a hard time resisting and stopping her, just like with Erica (the Succubus), we get the same option to "stop her".
She's my favorite LI after Elea, and I'm afraid that I won't like her anymore after hearing the truth about her past because to me it's of sexual nature, meaning that in the past she was forced to use her powers to seduce and trap men for her parents’ benefits.

MC feels bad that his first attempt to end conflict did nothing and acted as a catalyst for a new war. At least, that's how he sees it. This update was a "take a breather" chapter. More filler and character connection scenes.

He was getting things back together to start making moves but then he had to pick up his sister at the bar.
Why did she decide to do that again? Just to create a drama point? Couldn't wait? And if I saw that right, brought a normie to Neverwhere? Wtf? If dev needed that scene he could have had it anyway on the planned trip and spare Jess from looking dumb for no reason.
