The tavern owner is Scottish, so unless he was visiting relatives or something when he was rescued that seems unlikely.

We got very little of Medb with the latest chapter, but what we did get was a very different Medb from the encounter with Medb when she returned the MC's father to him at the trading post in Neverwhere.

For Medb, this was as big a show of emotion/caring as the sexy time with any of the other LIs this chapter.
I'm hopeful that we will soon see the MC and Medb find a way/reason to spend time together (like the MC getting a lead to try to stop the Alfar/Templar war from escalating).
It will be hard to wait for Ceolag to show us the next step in the MC/Medb relationship.

While Medb is my 3rd / 4th favorite character depending if you count Side girls or not. I really like this new version of her that is all caring and kind. My reasoning to look at older character when trying to guess who is the boy Fiona rescued is because searching for riots in Ireland it's obvious they happened quite long ago.
