I don't either. You would have to wonder then, why the MC wasn't groomed to continue the family dynastic rule over the Templars
The idea I got is that parents are convinced of their choice, but it is not the kind of life they want for their children. That's why any excuse is good to delay telling them everything

That's not really surprising if you consider what the underbelly of any society is like.

If I were to ask Joe Bob Average "Hey, where can I buy a 12 year old girl?" he would likely not know, and I'd probably be getting a nice visit from some guys working for a letter agency.
If you ask the same question of the head of a criminal organization he could probably reach into his drawer and pull out a catalogue and ask me what hair and eye colors I wanted.
All while recording you so he could use it for future blackmail as needed.

I think that Nightingale is both a part of and separate from that soft underbelly - having the ability to go after bad guys to do her job but also beholden to no laws stopping her from getting her bounty.

I like Nightingale and I think she is a more complex character than 'just a bounty hunter.'

It's possible that the same group (or at least their more important backers) that tried to kidnap Jess are involved with the disappearance of the woman Nightingale is searching for.

I am curious who organized the kidnapping of Jess, if there is a tie in to that illusive 3rd party, and if the MC/Nightingale gets more information about the/those kidnappings.

I'd like to see the MC and Nightingale working together for a common cause.

The wait for the next rev will be hard and, for now, about all we have is theory crafting.

Cheers!! :coffee:

On which path did you get that impression? I didn't on her love path.

Also, now that MC is in the loop, it makes sense there'd be a shift in tone since she doesn't need to stay silent anymore.
First and foremost Sayo stuff. in the HQ she tells him that she will help MC to deliver justice if Templars don't, but in the cabin she goes "oopsie daisy i forgot to tell you".
The Q&A session with her felt weird esp. on the question of what do templars actually do, since the answer is so weak sauce that even Elea could answer more in-depth.
Considering her Einharjar aspirations and wanting to return to good graces of some god to recover her clan's honour, her serving the Templars fevereshly like a trained dog does not bode well if MC will try to stop/intervene in some Templar business.

Previously she just needed to act like a GF, so her actions were limited, but now with unlocking the truth about "who" she is, she has way more easier time steering the MC towards certain outcomes that may be "less damaging" to Templars than MC would want.

So far she has not proven/shown that MC's business is higher priority than Templar(apart from the 1st chapter where she saves him).

Yeah, Kaija really came across as either disingenuous or incompetent in this update. I think that was probably a side effect of Ceolag being unwilling or unable to address any substantial questions about the Templars or the Finnabair incident, but in the end it's Kaija who had to take it directly on the chin.

As far as the Einharjar issue, the impression I got was less that she wanted to get into anyone's good graces in particular and more just prove that she (and by extension her ancester) is no coward. But it's hard to be certain because we're stuck with vague generalities about the world and Kaija's place in it. :(

For me this was the reason of her, obsesive training, and here I contradict, you both i had the impression that she is coming down of her ancestral redemtion trip (at least on her Love path).
