It's more her ancestral redemption at first. Training, fighting and obeying was her only motivation so that she could achieve that. That's the reason for her discourse in chapter 2 about "we are no cowords, we have honor, we abide by our oaths, etc". Only in love path she started to divide her priorities with another interest besides the order.

I don't like Kaija and I doubt I ever will, but I would like to know more about her background and how she joined the Order. She is an interesting character. I don't need to like her to find her interesting. I think that is Ceo's strength, he makes some great characters, love them or hate them. I don't think there are any characters I wouldn't like to know more about it.
any assistance appreciated, Just DL'd VN and the mod, I get sound on the main menu, but nothing in the game, I have mute off and all sound effects at 100%, anyone know what I might be missing, I searched the forum to see if anyone else had this isssue but nada, thanks,

Uninstall the mod, would be my suggestion.
You can tag the modder once you found out if your bug is because of the mod or not.
Edit: Steely Dan has an own Mod thread, although there is no mention of such a bug as I checked. (link in the OP)

deleted game, re-extracted with no mod, still no sound, maybe the DL is a bad copy, it already has previous save games installed when I first run the VN, I got it from GoFile

I got mine from GoFile either and no sound problems, also I don't use any mods, since the paths, tell the story a bit different depending on with which girl you're on.
Also MC's personality is influenced depending on how you behave.
Not a fan of multiple saves but in this case absolute worth.

For me the cracks are starting to show in ceolags competence in dialogue and further characterisations.
The talks with parents in Ch.5 barely adressed any direct issues, and the Kaija Q&A also has some of the weakest dialogue.
I think gone are the days of hard hitting dialogue like we had in Ch. 3 where MC confronts Kaija at Templar HQ and some hard hitting dialogue happens.
This chapter showed that characterisation is weak( Kaija) or non existent (Fiona, Elea).
Thinking about it the first 1.5 years of the projects public life we had Ch.1-4 releases( or development of Ch.2-4), where most of our love for TNT has been spawned, where characters and the world seemed interesting and engaging.
But considering Ch.5-6 took the same time to develop as Ch. 2-4 and offered no real story progression or character arc progression( apart from Kaiju), the game feels like it converted to a slice of life one since the start of elven adventure and hasnt come back to the story rich, story first type of game it was in Ch.1-4.
Not sure this doesn't sound really stupid, but was having trouble with sound, now I have music and had shower effect sound, but was wondering if there should be sound when the MC and his lady are doing the dirty, like some slurpy or moaning or what not, not that I would want that, just wanna make sure I get the full immersive content intended? thanks ya'll

I did like Kaija but Chapter 6 damn near killed my interest in her completely. She went from being a woman trapped between her feelings and her duty to a gormless fool who not only lacks the courage of her convictions, but doesn't even realize she's supposed to HAVE convictions. She's an empty suit with puppy-dog eyes. I have no idea if her character can be salvaged at this point.
Chapter 5 definitely advanced the story, it just did so in a blunt-force way: Kari told the MC to do something stupid, and he complies without a second thought so we can be preached to about the elves. But there's no saving Chapter 6, it 100% ignored the plot to concatenate some very dubious character scenes with 3 of the 4 LIs.

Check the log file that is usually created where the .exe file is, maybe it says something useful and more specific info about a sound error detected when loading the game. Can just be some incompatibility between your system and the game. I also got the game from GoFile and had no sound issues.

For me the fiona and elea scenes are 99% fluff. No real advancement on those fronts, just promise on Fionas route that an adventure will be soon™ .But there's no saving Chapter 6, it 100% ignored the plot to concatenate some very dubious character scenes with 3 of the 4 LIs.
After the slowdown of Ch.5 where most of thr time was spent on finnabairs character, the ch.6 pretty much stops development on all fronts.
For me the games quality is as in this meme, idk about ch.7,8,9... But up to 6 they are correct.

Hey everyone,
Dev Update a bit earlier today because I have a busy weekend (family stuff) ahead.
I spent most of my available time this week on static renders and a bit on writing the next scenes.
I'm almost done with the scene I'm currently working on. When that is done, I'll set up my next internal test build probably early next week.
The animation count is still zero because most of the planned animations are in the 2nd half of the chapter. And there will be fewer animations than in Chapter 6.
Another reason why hopefully it doesn't take another 8 months to get the chapter done.
On a side note:
My mother was released from the rehabilitation clinic earlier this week and is now back at home with my dad. After almost 5 months...
She's in as good a condition as she could be after what happened, so we won't complain about the "wasted" time.
One headache less to deal with.
Anyway, the numbers for this week:
107 new static renders for a total of 355
still 0 animations
262 new lines in the script file for a total of 1609

For me his biggest strength is his world building and the main story which makes me want to keep playing, with characters I agree and disagree with both: there are either great ones or they feel like they need a bit more involvement in the main story to not feel like a side girl, in Fiona's case atleast this feels like its changing but with Elea for example I am having a hard time to consider her not to be just a side girl, even with some hints about her.
But overall I don't feel that the quality of the story has decreased, if anything I feel like since seeing the elven adventure we are now in a "calm before the storm" situation.

For me is the characters. The world is copied and pasted ipsis litteris from several sources, as the scene of Kaija introducing MC to Neverwhere. That is copied from Nightside by Simon R. Green.

Maybe the general story of templars, elves and other mofos is still fine, but characterization of LI's is slipping.
Kaija q&a is weak, and the walkback on her words makes her character cheap.
The way finnabairs double attempt at taking life was just brushed under the carpet is also quite weak cliche, previously bullshit like that(kaija) didnt go unchecked, but now it seems it will be the norm.
The elven adventure was already a detached slice of life episode, where the general story did not move forward much. And now ep 6 has taken an even slower pace of developing the main story.
There being no middle ground on finnabairs relationship between killing her and being her friend, even with LI's you can go neutral,friend,lover. But i guess the plotline where Sayo's actions are ignored by MC would make too much of a mess later on.
