For me Kaijas route in Ch.6 was the most destructive, whatever she was spouting and MC taking it as if it did not smell like bullshit.
If the MC challenged her words like he did in Ch.3 during confrontation would have made this chapter quite a good one.

Nightingales fight being shown as a joke does not fit well with seriousness of the whole game.

Fionas and Elea's route atleast were not offensive and not character destructive.
I loved Kaija's route might of been my favorite but I would be lying if I didn't say I was expecting a bit more character to her or background when we finally learned about her past and grandfather. But it wasn't such a huge deal to me it brought her path down.

Since some of her statements change significantly chapter to chapter, i wouldnt be surprised if some more fun lying and deception will be revealed in later chapters.

MC's spinelesness when being directly lied to and not questioning obvious stuff is just hitting towards Ceolags writing ability.

Looking back on it the last hard hitting dialogue was 2 years ago with the Ch.3 release. And that is a shame.

It feels to me that kaijas walkback on her words on being in "love" with MC are some kind of "last minute" changes that might be a try to make her more likeable than originally envisioned.

honestly that's something hard for me to criticize as im spinelesness myself so never really saw any issue with how the MC acted towards Kaija personally. Only when it comes to Jess and some story elements.

I can't opine on paths because I follow none of them but when it comes to character destruction in ch6, Jessica takes the cake with ease.

Hmmmm, for some reason, this game doesn't show up under "Latest Updates"

Wonder if I'm doing something wrong...

I lack the bi chromatic world view to further take part in this discussion,
Wolfram99 I reached the limit of my empathy, to really grasp your point.
I respect your opinion, and ask myself why in all world if you dislike Kaija so much, did you go to the cabin with her ?
It is evident that for you not even a friendship path is possible.

This scene is only possible in a love path with Kaija, so any confrontation was left behind and MC was supposed to take kindly whatever she had to say.

Maybe he didn't? I very often discuss content that isn't present in any playthrough I've ever done. I've seen all content in this game yet my combined point score with all LI's is -2...

I've been on the fence about posting the charts since the last chapter was a big disappointment, but here's where we stand as of today's update:

Thanks for the awesome graphics! It would prefer a short release as chapter 3 than a huge one that will not be available this year. If the dev released some paths every 3 months it would be for the best, in my opinion.

If all this shit happened to you...for real, I'd love to see just how spineless you'd be too.

Words are cheap and easy to say you'd be the big bad when reality would most likely be very, very different. Seriously wolf, give it a fucking rest already.

He's not wrong though. Didn't someone say here that the dev himself was surprised at how the playerbase reacted with such antagonism to the Kaiju betrayal? Which btw I still can't comprehend how any self respecting human being could forgive that level of betrayal but this isn't real life. It's an AVN so...yeah...

It doesn't take a genius to see what he is trying to do with the Kaiju-MC interactions in ch6. He's trying his best to smooth things over and bending over backwards to provide justifications for what she did. And you can't imagine my anger reading that shit. What a revolting character. But that's just my interpretation of it.

I don't think the MC is spineless but it does feel a bit frustrating playing through the "eyes" of someone so willing to accept the bullshit around him and carry on. Yet I can't fault the dev. The narrative must flow one way and he can't be expected to provide 100 different reactions and branching paths.

Yeah, you still owe me the instructions to achieve that :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
seriously, you might be onto something there!
It's super easy. Just pick all options that feel like "I don't want to engage with you at all" and don't kill Finn, no matter how much she deserves it

My MC doesn't even know Fiona's name. I love her because she just disappears from the game if you never enter her path.

Personally I think the shifting explanation of Kaija's feelings for the MC makes at least some sense. It's annoying (particularly after the game bent over backwards trying to retroactively align her motivations to our treatment of her), but I can believe a young woman might struggle to recognize and and articulate consistently her feelings for a friend with whom she has a complicated relationship.

Unfortunately, it's that last bit that winds up torpedoing the character for me in Chapter 6. The reason Kaija had a complicated relationship with the MC - the reason I was willing to cut her so much slack despite lying to the MC - was because she was ostensibly trapped between two unwavering priorities with no way out. She couldn't reveal the truth to the MC without betraying her loyalty to the Templars, and she couldn't continue to follow Templar orders without abandoning the MC when he most needed help. Maybe the actions she took weren't the ones I would have in her place, but when every option open to her is bad I'm not going to quibble about exactly which one is least worst.

But then Chapter 6 comes along and it turns out this 'dilemma' should have been a slam dunk. Kaija doesn't care about the Templar ideals, never did. She doesn't even seem to know what the Templars actually do. Kaija will happily side with the MC against the Templars if he thinks they're in the wrong, even after he waltzed off to hobnob with their longtime enemy on the brink of a war. Kaija was evidently only in it for the perks, be they "brave warrior" street cred or free ski chalets.

And the MC doesn't bat an eyelash at this seeming about-face. He doesn't wonder why she was singing a different tune the last time they discussed it, nor wonder how much he can trust what she's told him given her apparently gullibility when it comes to Templar propaganda. He even dismisses the idea that she's still stonewalling him despite specifically noting it if she did exactly that; the audience is assured that it's so blatant it must have been unintentional.

The end result is that, at least to me, Kaija comes across as either an oblivious moron, a pathological liar, or a terribly written character. Regardless of which explanation you prefer, her value as a LI has been burned down to the waterline. Maybe her path could be rebuilt, but at this point the narrative time and effort needed for yet another bite at the apple isn't worth it. The game has bigger fish it needs to fry and it needs to fry them yesterday. :(

Different personalities I can think of a few reasons why it would be easy for me to forgive a person like that with same context or type of situation if it was real life. Now if it was just a betrayal without the rest of the context then yeah I can see that being enough not to forgive her. But there is much more to it than that for me. But no need to get into the why as no need to restart the Kaija hate train

Glad I never played Fiona's path like that I despise when dev's make LI disappear from a game just cause you aren't on their path, one of my most hated things to see. Unless it makes sense then I don't hate it as much tho I still dislike it tho guess in Fiona's case it probably does make sense.

Edit : sorry for the double post just realized I wasn't editing my other message
