Man, I love it! Kinda makes you feel like your choices matter. A story is always better when the MC feels part of the world instead of the world revolving around the MC.
And in this case it's implemented beatifully. The dev gives you 2 chances to get on the Fiona path, when she bumps into you outside your home or office (don't remember) and a little later in the park. If you ignore her, don't exchange names or run with her she just goes away. Elea still makes small talk in the office but that's it. It's great!
Otherwise you get those awkward scenes with people you don't like, have no interest in or aren't crucial to the plot and the whole time you spend with them you can tell you were supposed to be on their path. A scene like that that always makes me laugh is when the MC is in Elfland and Medb comes to speak to you and answer your questions and you basically just tell her to fuck off. And she storms away disappointed and mad like "why the fuck did I even come here?"

yeah I mean I don't mind it when it's done in such a way that makes sense. I think I have a negative bias over such a thing tho. Cause ive seen people ask for LI disappear in other games and to me it comes off as disrespectful towards the time and effort the dev put to make such a character.Man, I love it! So i think part of the reason I do not like it is unless they are a side character I don't like the idea of a dev's creation go to waste and even if they don't mind or care cause the made the game in such a way. So I usually want to see those character at leas play some kind of story role or small interactions here or there even if you are off their path.

The search functionality of updates page is broken, you can only use one word searches reliably.
Even if its a Baddie i still like good writing/dialogue, up to Ch.6 Kaijas(and around her) writing was good, even if i think negatively of her.
And clearly she's sorta the fmc so she's unavoidable.
I evaluated all the LI's present in this game ~equally, even if so far none have struck my liking.
And yet we got the good dialogue of Ch.3 when MC probes into Kaija hard for some answers, and it went great in my opinion, but now the standard of dialogue has slipped quite hard. Its pretty much 2 sets of monologues during Kaija cabin.
Unfortunately you ARE forced in-game to exchange names with her

EDIT: I just checked and you are incorrect. I never even learned her name
This is the second time you meet her and I just sent her on her way without even exchanging names.

You meet her forcibly in the park and if you choose to stay quiet you get a +1
Kaija's character adapts to the paths taken by the players. If you choose a non loving approach she will be the exactly bitch every hater hates, but if a loving path is chosen instead, she will give lots of justifications and regrets for the way she acted. Simply, there isn't a standard Kaija, but different characters with different reactions based how you approach her. I must remark once more that the path she is explaining those things is only available to those who haven choosen to forgive and love her. You wouldn't be seeing that if you have opted for a break out.

Fuck! You are correct. I totally forgot that. So you meet her a third time forcibly...
Was it always like this or was something changed? I did not remember that 3rd meeting at all.
I didn't try a Path with Fiona where I keep everything a secret. Since the begging I told her everything. I wonder how would it affect the outcome in chapter 6.

that depends if you go to the park with Elea, but you can opt out, on my Kaija Love path I stayed at Templars HQ, on another I just stayed at my apartament.

Hmmm strange... Idk wtf I did but I'm almost certain I never met her a 3rd time in my playthrough. If you can avoid it through Elea maybe that's what I did but my points with her at at 0 so I assume whatever points gained through hanging out with her I ended up losing afterwards?
On a new playthrough Jess comes to his apartment, they watch a movie, she falls asleep and he goes for a park run in the morning where he meets Fiona and exchanges names no matter what... But she does not show up again.

knowing you for a little at this point, I'm shure you ran into another direction ....Seriously but this can only confirm someone who has Renpy mod (sheesh my memory, the one where you see the variables) : maybe, 2 times deny, automatically cancels the 3rd park encounter.

I've only played the one path and it was GREAT!
Until we get more with Medb I'm sticking with the only correct path.
