Honestly nothing the dev could do would bring her path "down" for you. He could literally write a chapter where she sleeps with some new random dude and yall would still find excuses for her.

You like her for her looks and not her character which is why kaija fans are cooked.

how about you don't assume things for me and only speak for yourself. Looks legit don't matter to me if I like a LI or not , it's something I never consider. Don't know why you find the need to attack me cause I like Kaija. I don't go around saying you are cooked and you only like them for looks because you like someone I don't in other games.

To break down why I like her.

A : my personality is just different than most people that hate her where her betrayal and lies is not something I see as a big deal to me personally , as im a very understanding and forgiving person. Because when taking all the context under consideration I'm a very understanding person. I see the lie about her working for templars something like her working for an organization where she isn't allowed to say anything. Not to mention it's something that isn't believable until you see it in person with your own eyes, not like she could take us to HQ without getting into trouble.

Her lies about the parents. Never saw the issue there either because it isn't her secret to tell and it's up to the parents. I would actually think less of her if she told that truth , when it's something they wanted to keep secret because they wanted the MC to not be apart of that lifestyle. Yeah I agree the MC should have a say in the matter but not from Kaija it isn't her place to tell us.

B I did dislike her lies about the relationship tho but because she saved the MC or did her best to , as well as on the Love path it showed she didn't want to be our girlfriend at first because it was an order made that issue not a big deal at all to me. Not to mention I can feel she feels some remorse for the lies over the years but I can understand her cause it isn't an easy thing to do ( Lying or find a way to tell the truth).

In fact I never once considered the fact she should of shared everything with us when moving in / entering a serious relationship until Grumpy shared his POV.

C I find her to be the most interesting character in the game so far story wise. Fiona 2nd and there is a chance I may switch to Team Fiona in the next update depending how well done it is cause I like her alot not as much as Kaija but close enough that one good update could be all I need.

There are things how I still dislike about her. I don't like her reasons for joining or wanting to stay with the Templars. Or how she views the templars and how loyal she is to them. Tho I still trust she would chose the MC over the templars if it was something serious. Only way I think she might not pick the MC if on the Love path would be if the MC gave her an ultimatum where she has to pick one or the other. I think she would see that as betrayal and something that isn't fair at least I would if I was her

Now im not trying to get into another pointless Kaija War but when I see a post like this I feel the need to defend myself. So to others in the thread sorry if another Kaija War starts.

Well, I partly agree with you. I don't know how many VNs I've played, but there was always some girl I liked.

This VN is actually the first VN where, to date, I've rejected all the female material offered by the developer. I've eliminated all four LIs, and there's not a single PC worth even considering. For me, that already means I'll finish the game solo.

I, however, believe that a sentence in the OP drove me to this style of play:

Glad to know I'm not alone on this! I've played somewhere between 50-70 AVN's so far and this is the only one so far I've rejected all LI's too. But I think in this case both the story and the world are worth coming back to.

Oh the MC and his family are absolutely the dumber ones here. No contest. I have no particular love for Templars or Elves but the Macalisters are the superior breed when it comes to raw stupidity.

True. But keep in mind that up until like a year ago I was in the 30's. Sadly every single AVN keeps increasing development time so I just branch out to try to find something else that might interest me.

Weird question, But this game seems long and I don't want to restart more than I have to, so here it is: Should I be playing all LIs and there will be a story point later where I choose which one I want, or should I play with one specific LI only in mind? I understand the side adventures don't have any impact, but what about the LIs?

you can mostly game the system so far and go for all the LIs in one pt, but it ain't a harem. There will come a point where it blows up in your face. So personally I have several saves not just for each LI but for some different plot decisions too.

Play it how you like, but if they catch you cheating, they will dump your ass; kinda like IRL. Well, except for Kaiju. She will just kill you. Game over.

Ha! By this time I always feel something is wrong if I stop by and there is no Kaija discussion. I think it just good fun. Sometime I argue for her, sometimes against, and sometimes both at the same time...

and the LI where we are either bantering or fighting about has 3 independent paths.

And honest advice, try doing low relationship Kaija initially (at least chapter 1).
Perhaps not on 1st playthrough, just play as you see fit obviously, but try it at some point.
If you want to be silly, do 0 points run (How to get 0: slap her ass and close doors, be angry during phone call, don't tell her to be careful during kidnapping scene)

After chapter 1, up to you, either keep it low for "hate" route, or aim for the stars (romance).
Love/Neutral/Hate paint Kaija in very different light, so highly recommend you try them if you enjoy the VN.

0 -> Romance in Chapter 6 is my favorite, because it feels both deserved and like love on both ends (and I honestly think Kaija dialogue sounds much more sincere and from the heart on that route than it is on full on love route).

Neither did I, that's why I tried it.
Ceolag made great job with "catch-up" points (if you use URM you can see it), so during some dialogue options it plays like this:
If love >= 15, +2 love
If love <15 && >12, +4 love

That's just silly example, but there's few of those in the code, and that's what allows going from 0 to romance, just barely.

And funnily enough, dialogue between MC and Kaija is so nice and honest that it made me, a true Kaija hater, do full on romance route. Which I immediately abandoned since it feels flat and boring compared to other one (and I still dislike Kaija, but that story was told hundred times).

ah I see I thought you even go the friend choice in Ch 2 or 3 with her to see this. Gonna probably try it sometime maybe if I replay the game in the next update haha no time for it now haha

My one and only save is 0 -> 0 on all paths except for Mebd which is 0 -> -2 and I'm having a blast! 10/10 would absolutely reccomend!

Also being nasty to the parents and all Templars is incredibly cathartic after what they did to the MC. And I love that the dev included other people scolding the MC for "being rude". Like purposefully not thanking Kari or my absolute favorite, telling Linnae to fuck off when she tries to sit down and talk to the MC at the bar. Then the barman tries to make the MC feel bad. Like fuck off you piece of shit! You're Templar trash too!
