I am in agreement. It's like cover songs. Occasionally, they can work, most of the time they don't.Ugghhh...I fucking hate fucking cameo's! Hopefully though on this ocassion she will stay over in that VN

I only dislike Cameo's when it's always the same characters otherwise don't see the big deal if it's just an background character or a small part and not making them into an actual character that keeps showing up.

I’d rather Devs just didn’t. It’s rarely a bad thing but, for me at least, it’s never a good thing. So it’s like throwing a 20 sided die, it’s not bad unless you throw a 1 but it’s not good unless you throw a 21 so best to just not throw at all.

I don't think it's good or bad unless they try to throw them into the story. Like lets say it's a background character or someone at a party that was always going to be in the scene no matter what and no have nothing to add past the few times they might appear , basically a background character / someone that is less important than a side girl. Then I don't see the difference between a Cameo or a newly created character.
But the minute they become a side character or more then I agree

Can't really get into specifics without talking about other games and going wildly off topic but I'd just say IMO it's best to just not go there.
Kaija drank too much, caused a scene, got kicked out, and ruined MC's reputation with the staff.
Hey, does Kaija have any role in this other game or is it just a cameo? What's the context of her appearance?

As far as cameos go, I think it really depends. If the two games share similar themes and compatible settings, and if the visiting character makes sense in context, they can add a pleasant sense of familiarity and being part of larger world. But most of the time they just lean on the fourth wall and weaken the sense of immersion, which ain't great. And when the games are thematically of logically incompatible, or when the cameo is just badly written, it can ultimately be detrimental to both games.
Overall, I'd say it's rarely a risk worth taking.

From a hater standpoint it's confusing but so very entertaining. Especially this Finn vs Kaijo war. It's like seeing two distinct gentlemen/gentlewomen of culture arguing about which is better, the handful of urine soaked dirt or the used condom pulled from the trash
