Hey everyone,
As mentioned last week, I moved on to the final scene of Chapter 7.
And since there won't be a lot of new information besides XX renders and lines of code until the Beta is ready, this will be the last Dev Update for Chapter 7.
That doesn't mean I'll be ready for Beta by next Friday, though.
The progress is as expected. I set up 2 of the 3 environments I had to create for this scene, 1 environment left, as that will be used for the very last few renders only.
I still need to script the last part of the scene into Ren'Py, which I expect to finish this weekend.
The remaining work will be setting up renders, finding music, and wrapping up the beta build.
The next thing you'll hear from me (regarding game progress) will be the announcement of the Beta and the release schedule.
Speaking of release schedules, Big Bat Productions just released his new Chapter 2 of Moonlight.
It's a story-focused sci-fi AVN with great visuals, music, and story (as far as you can tell that early in).
If you're bored while waiting for Chapter 7, give it a try:

And while you're on Steam... if you haven't reviewed TNT there and don't mind doing so, I'd appreciate it if you do it now.
With the CH7 release coming up and the end-of-year sales, it's important for visibility to have the "recent reviews" (10+ reviews in the past 30 days).

86 new static renders for a total of 1955
0 new animations, total 24
392 new lines in the script file for a total of 7003

I uploaded the first Beta version yesterday, and we've been testing it since then.
There are still some things to do, like Gallery renders, rendering the last cinematic of Chapter 7 etc but I'll do that during the test phase now.
Beware of the dev begging for Steam reviews again
If you don't mind reviewing the game on Steam, it'll greatly help with visibility during the December sales if you do so.
Every review helps.
Thanks to everyone who has already put up a review.
The planned release schedule for Chapter 7 is:
December 3rd for Chaplain tier and higher
December 12th for Mercenary tier
December 19th for Steam
Those dates might be subject to change if something unexpected happens.

Beta status and Release date for Chapter 7
Hey everyone,
I uploaded the Beta version yesterday, and we've been running our tests since then.
I still have a few things to finish, like setting up Gallery renders, Steam achievements, and a few more animations for the end of the chapter, but I'll do that in the Beta phase.
Also, I've been working on providing more translations for the game. I already had a French translation, but that one was kinda hacked in at some points, mostly because I didn't know better back then.
I had to correct those mistakes so it won't get worse with every new language I add.
The next language that will be added is Simplified Chinese.
It's almost ready, and I hope to release it within the next 2 weeks.
Speaking of release, the date for the release of Chapter 7 will be December 19th.
Of course, that's subject to change if something completely unexpected happens.
I still need a few more reviews before December 5th, when the holiday season & sales will start.
For visibility on Steam, reviews (and especially recent reviews) play a big role. If you haven't written a review and can spare the time to write a short review, I'd appreciate it a lot. Every review helps with visibility, and every feedback is welcome for the further development of the game. Thanks to everyone in advance, and especially to those who have already put up a review!

Hammer... errr... poll time - Game updates with one-time payments
With the update coming soon(™) I've been thinking about selling the post with the update links as a one-time payment.
Quite a few people sub for 1 month when an update drops and then unsub.
Which I'm totally fine with, thank you for your support!
For a while now, Patreon has offered the option to sell posts for a one-time payment.
That means you can buy access to a specific post without subscribing.
It would make the process easier for those who sub for 1 month to get the update.
I don't really lose anything except for the money I miss out on when people forget to cancel their sub. That would feel bad anyway because I don't want to "exploit" a mistake someone makes.
I prefer to earn support the honest way.
The prices for those posts will be exactly the same as the 1-month sub, of course.
And since I'm totally good at making decisions like that and not having a lot of polls anyway... hammer time.
What do you guys think?
