Omg the girls are clickable! Why not make this more obvious?!
Having one UI hide (eg phone, map, room specific left hand side options like "Approach") when talking to a girl and another appear (change clothes etc) could be confusing for a first time player if the convention isn't introduced in the tutorial, and currently the tutorial is as interactive as filling in a form for one character who is written to be a small part and an unappealing asshole (so a contrasting impression to the girls, no reason to click on him as the sole character in the scene addressed).

I think maybe there's a culture clash here where so many players of untranslated games or 90s point and click moonlogic adventures don't see the problem, but you maybe have a point. A minor change to the very start might be enough to help people trying a genre like this for the first time?

... HOW? Dude you don't need THAT much hand holding. Nightcrawler already explains everything in detail. Do you want deadpool to pop in like Navi and railroad you through the intro with constant pop ups?
I obviously don't remember that particular functionality being explained so if it's there, I missed it. It can clearly happen but I didn't see it in the database instructionals either.

A very small highlight could hint at the click possibility. I think many people are not used to interactive VNs since there are fewer of them. I'm used to advancing the dialogue by using the keys actually.

I... don't think there's anything I could compare art wise.

I could list games that I used as examples to inspire the dev team in other ways.

Rogue Like Evolution
Summertime Saga
Love and Sex: Second Base
Academy 34
Persona 5 (Not a porn game but you'll see its influence as time goes on)
Thanks, and yeah, it was a long shot. I haven't seen such high quality 2d art here before. Other than maybe Our Red String. Amazing work.

No offense but Nightcrawler doesn't explain that one, I checked by playing first couple of game days right now. I found that girls are clickable on my first playthrough experimentally, by fooling around with UI. It's not that obvious.
Persona 5
Not inspired by awful japanese cellshading, I hope?

I think it's an event that only fires on a weekday, if you slept alone in your own bed the night before, and you didn't piss Jean off by flirting or dating the other girls without already having an agreement on it (so no angry/sad/etc modifier emoji in the relationship tab).

Take it easy. You're not alone missing out features. I've also missed the hookup context function during my first session until spring or so and thought you always need date for having fun. At beginning, it was locked out, so I hadn't really pay attention to this unlock for a long time.
Yeah, every game is a little bit different with its controls and sometimes too much is granted to be understood from start right away.
Kurt also explains a bit too much during the first season before you start to feel comfy, for example the level/skill system before you can actually choose a skill in season 2 winter.
What is also not clear but is hinted by Kurt: you get a free shower usage during morning OR night per day, costing no stamina point (yellow bar upper-right). The more stamina you increase, the more action-time you have during each time of the day. You also get more XP by stamina when attending class what is also not so obvious.
