I can't see how a girl being submissive to you is possibly a red flag.
Okay, to put it this way, a relationship should be 50/50, it's an equal partnership. Whatever decisions are made should be made together. Rogue giving Null complete control puts all the stress and responsibility on him, making it an inherently unbalanced relationship, and while it hasn't happened yet, it's a breeding ground for resentment for both of them. We just haven't seen it play out yet because it's still early days.

why people act surprised when your girlfriend is mad if you cheat on her, its beyond me.
I can't even put it up to entitlement.
I believe I have a possible solution for this: integration.

Now, I do not own any of their products, so I'm only aware of their capabilities at a glance. But, if you could make it so, when the player is caught cheating, that someone's flesh light or butt plug is at the maximum vibration setting for an extended of time, or, have them not vibrate at all until they make up with who they cheated on, so that there's a physical repercussion for their decision making, instead of it just being though text. 'Cause let's be real: Some men don't learn until they get kicked in the nuts, or they're left walking home with blue balls.

I'm going to say something about their quirks for anyone talking about them and this is solely my opinion so keep that in mind. while these quirks might seem harmless in the short term, in the long term, they could damage the girl's mental stability. for example, Rogue. she wants to be submissive to you and while it might be fun for a bit, eventually it moves on to her asking you to make simple choices for her to escape the responsibility. like she asks what shirt she should wear. while it might seem okay to tell her once or twice, doing it most of the time makes it harder for her to grow as a person and take charge of her life

Best quote from Boots that I'm willing to find that should explain that the quirks won't go that far:

No more than you would in accepting quirks.

With the rework we've separated Rogue's submissiveness into how she is in bed and how she is in your relationship.

I believe selecting the option in the provided example would make her more submissive in the relationship.

BUT TO BE 100% CLEAR FOR EVERYONE HAPPENING TO READ THIS.

Quirks do not add or subtract content.

They change the tone of content.

Example. A dangerous fight is coming up?

Normal Jean: As your senior I'll support you!

Big Sis Jean: As your big sis I'll protect you!

Normal Rogue: I got your back sugah.

Submissive Rogue: You'll stop the bad guys right? (Playful in tone)

Normal X-23: Remember your training and we can succeed.

Yandere X-23: I will make them regret being born if they even look at you!

Edit: The writers will obviously present this in a more narrative compelling way.
Also, no 'corruption' tag.

That quote in no way implies that it won't go that far. :)

The writers have many compelling narratives to show you. ;)

You're not really corrupting them. You're just enabling unhealthy coping mechanisms.

My friends telling me to download waifu gatcha games isn't them corrupting me, it's them enabling my gambling addiction lol :HideThePain:

I'm very eager to see the phoenix arc hit. You've depicted Jean in a very interesting way, basically being on the verge of a nervous breakdown for a whole ass year (assuming she hasnt already hit her nervous breakdown). Probably the story beat I'm most aware of and interested in seeing, as someone only faintly familiar with xmen lore.

I'll be honest. Rogue's submissiveness is the only quirk I dislike/see as a red flag. Even falling under the lie of "these are sexy time benefits", it's always made me uncomfortable. But my position on things like these isn't to deny them, but explore them and deal with them in a healthy way.

So here's to hoping that that will be possible in the game eventually.

Addendum: When I say "red flag" I don't mean a "don't be with this girl, she's bad news" red flag. I mean "This is not a healthy thing for the person." red flag.

The quirk system will never be a one and done thing. You've seen the code, it's weighted.

We most definitely have plans for exploring how embracing a quirk may affect their life. Both for the positive and the negative.

The quirk revamp actually inspired us to want to explore even further. It's not just you customizing your player experience. What and how you enable will come up again and isn't just a switch to flip the tone future scenes are treated with.

The claim that a person being submissive is self harming is... just ridiculous.
It is perfectly valid lifestyle.

Also, a red flag does not mean:
a. not my fetish
b. self harming behavior

a red flag is a trait that warns you that this person has major problems that makes them bad for YOU and that YOU should not even try to date them.
ex: Signs they are a cheater, signs they are a compulsive liar, signs that they are a criminal who is going to go to prison. signs that they self harm. etc
that kind of stuff.

Now you might have noticed that I put self harming behavior in it.
yes, self harming behavior IS a red flag.
This is one of those "all squares are rectangles. but not all rectangles are squares".
Self harming is a red flag, but not all red flags are self harm related. (ex: cheating)

Of course that requires it to be actual self harm.
The only thing rogue submitting to her man actually harms is the feminist idealogy.
Rogue is not harmed by it, you are not harmed by it.

TLDR: Rogue is a top tier waifu. Saying her submissiveness to the MC is self harming is nonsense. Saying it is a red flag is nonsense.

Just to be clear, I, in no way, was intending or implying or even thinking that red flags mean self harm (My god, is English an imprecise language). I mean red flag as a literal warning sign that things aren't healthy going forward and/or needs to be addressed. Like a check engine light.

Like Rogue's had a lot happen to her. Her desire to not have to think about it is understandable. It would be so easy to let someone else take care of everything. To have someone tell you that everything's okay. That everything's fine and you're safe. But the moment you do that, you stunt your own growth as a person. And that is, mentally and emotionally, harmful to a person.
