We are not talking about A+ score.
We are talking about the new feature in v0.6B (that was not in V0.6A) where you need to take a very long time on foreplay to unlock subsequent actions.
The new unlock mechanism requires not only clicking on a bunch of options. But then repeating them a LOT. or most likely, pressing the auto repeat and waiting five minutes.
You could easily have both MC and the girl orgasm before you even unlock penetration.
In fact on multiple occasions I have had both MC and the girl orgasm before unlocking penetration.
By the time you actually unlock penetration, you have barely any stamina left.

Again, if its too much of a bother for you, thats what the vibrator is for, just start it up before hand and the girls are ready to go when you enter the sex minigame.

You are not making a good argument for why this "feature" is an improvement from before.
Before, you needed to go through various foreplay before the sex if you wanted an A+
Now you have to:
1. go through various forms of foreplay
2. spend the vast majority of the scene on only foreplay (because your stamina runs out)
3. if you want to avoid running out of stamina use dildo (sorry, I am not into dildos)
You guys are pretending that:
A. because YOU chose to skip the foreplay before, that means EVERYONE chose to do so.
B. forcing you to do the foreplay in a single player game is some great improvement to gameplay. it is a single player game.
C. the numbers used by the new system are well balanced. and that it is perfectly reasonable to require so many repeats of each step to unlock the next one

I mean, that would genuinely depend on the individual. Some women require more/less foreplay than others, and that can be affected by all sorts of internal AND external factors. Just having something on their mind can cut your actual coital time down drastically.
HOWEVER, good foreplay (which IRL includes more than just heavy petting, for the record) can help push through some of those possible roadblocks. It's not a guarantee, but it does help.
And with all of that said: 5 minutes of grinding might actually lead to that exact result if there's been too much friction (too intense, irritation from body hair, etc.). The wrong kind of overstimulation would actually result in a detriment to your efforts - which again would depend on the partner. Mechanically, this would probably over-complicate sex quite a bit for this game, as every character would then have more specific settings that would give better or worse results respectively (i.e. Rogue/Laura liking things more intense overall, while Jean may need more build up over time). For immersion, this could be interesting, but I know that most hate their goal lines having a test of its own so.... Wouldn't shock me if that was something not on the table for TNH lol

The update is fresh now and fans of the game are generally pretty defensive in any fandom. However I can see the other guy's point. I don't personally dislike it atm but it's probably gonna get very old by the time 1.0 rolls up. It doesn't really scream "good design" to play another song and dance every single time for in-game sex after abolishing the consent simulator.
I mean, asking for consent for each and every single little thing wasn't really an issue either because it was just resolved in 2 clicks. But yet the devs recognized it as an issue and remade the system to fix it.
By the same token having to fill a bar itself isn't really an issue either, but it could be better and I don't see why y'all gotta shit on the guy for just stating that. Y'all act like rabid football fans. You can love a game and not immediately go "oh fuck" when someone says the smallest thing.

Id concede the design aspect were it not for the fact that the game gives you the tools to skip it or automate it.
And what if I just plain don't like toys and want it to be all about the protagonist? Or don't wanna click next action a billion times or wait on my arse with the automation on?
At the end of the day the issue is that the player should be empowered and the game should be as less annoying as possible without infringing on the experience. I didn't think the consent simulator mattered, I don't think this mechanic matters either in the long run, but both are kind of badly implemented. They're both just too minute (and not important enough) to care.

Very well. I've downloaded it and tested the system out just for you, and....
Yeah, bud, this might simply be a skill issue. The save I used was just after the first post-ass kicked recovery event. Took very little to get all three girls - only one of whom I'd had sex with before (Rogue, 'cause that one's got a few strings attached that make sense to clear through early imo), and within a few minutes, managed to get it into all three for more than a few rounds pretty quickly.
Might just be that I'm a similar case to SeveralGeese and actually enjoy the foreplay, but even without that, the system is perfectly fine in terms of overall functionality. It tells you what you can and can't yet do, it shows you what actions build said meters and by how much, so just - you know - fuck your partner well and you can do whatever you like no sweat.
EDIT: If the issue is that you just straight up don't like the system existing and, I can only assume, want 3-speed animations with a finish button and that's it... Hate to be that guy, but there's other games for that. This may simply not be the one for you - but you're in luck since there's THREE of these sorts of games out and about now, including this one lmao

I went ahead and bought a dildo.
When you start the dildo action is NOT AVAILABLE.
Your claim to just use the dildo to unlock sex is thus a total fabrication.
I just invited maxed out laura over. gave her a dildo. and used a timer to test:

activate Hold hands
activate make out
activate auto-progress and wait 15 seconds to unlock choking.
activate choking
Now you are choking AND handholding AND makeout all at the same time. auto-progress...

click dildo. take about 10 seconds to click fast to skip through many pages of dialog to actually use it. But not too fast or it can break.

This entire process still took 2 minutes and 40 seconds to unlock sex.
during those 3 minutes you had to pick the "correct" choices from the makeout menu instead of the choices you wanted.

I had to reload a couple of times because it broke up due to me trying to click too fast too.

I was perfectly fine using various forms of foreplay before without this silly system of gating.
Also, the GUI for this gating system is pretty terrible. It is a pain to scroll through the various options, and they are not grouped by tier.
While there are some... odd choices here (Negasonic? Really?), kudos on the bingo, great job.
Now if only I knew how to play bingo.

1. Wasting time is not a "skill". Grind is not a "skill". Lots of clicking to skip dialog is not a "skill".
2. Choosing your sex acts based on how much progress they make completely undermines the purpose and fun one can get from a flexible sex act system. The whole point is that you get to choose the stuff you want to do.
Not to memorize a set of "optimal" actions that are superior to the other choices. So that you can do sex acts you don't want in order to get more points per minute.
That is anathema to actually enjoying the porn
