I do find it a bit odd the "It's a polycule not a Harem", when you break down to the simplest terms it's a guy with multiple sexual partners which is what every Harem is.
The talk (from what I have seen) is always about you need consent and it's an agreement with the other partners hence not a harem. But in a most harem games the love interest are also okay with the MC having multiple partners you just normally don't have to convince them as much. And they often have sexual experiences with each other.
I'll bite down the Polycule route if the other love interests instigate new sexual partners to add to the group. But so far it's all the MC putting forward a name , either getting approval or convincing the girls to give approval for him. Again to me that's a harem. And to be honest would not really want to play a game were the love interest were seeking out other romantic partners to add.
I love the game very much but this one definition just feels a bit silly nit picking terminology to me.
EDIT: Nevermind my definition for Harem was too broad and Polycule makes sense to me now. after reading up on it more, even tho the current content doesn't fully explore it but I can see where this is heading. Keeping the above unedited since not big on editing out my previous comments.
