I am coding and animating for TNH in the nights and on the weekends I have off, often instead of spending time with my partner/sleeping/studying. that is not cause for worry - TNH brings me an immense amount of joy and I remain dedicated to it. however, the only way I'm not going to utterly burn out is if I can work on the game at my own pace and be flexible with deadlines without being beholden to the "when update???" voices

eventually the dev team will be able to afford another programmer to help share the workload, but until then we're all going to need to recognize my limits as a human being and allow for updates to come when they come. I want to reiterate that we are still not "profitable" yet - I estimate that the dev team will start to be able to pay ourselves at the $4500/month mark, when our art needs are fully covered without me dipping into my own pocket

my internal goal, which I think is very attainable, is to get to v1.1 before the end of the year

Glad Ron didn't put any deadlines. That looming threat on the calendar along with doing med school CANNOT be healthy for the guy. I'm sure devs can keep the people stoke as long as they throw in previews here and there to stoke their fire until update arrives.

He mentioned a while ago that he was defending his thesis and that any update would be after that, earliest being March. So I'd say he's not to far behind his goals.

True. Can Leech stop telepathic attacks or stop telekinetic guided projectiles from hitting him( like Jean and the tennis ball)? From what I remember he had a short range total power negation zone for people standing in range. So if Xavier or Jean were standing 100ft away they can still mess with Leech.

I actually have no idea if Leech can stop the momentum of a tennis ball. Null has yet to make physics his bitch though.

Ok that's what I was wondering, so it'd be like if the juggernaut event, sentinel, anti-mutant crowd, all in one season as an example.

Finales will still be epic because that's how story telling goes, but like don't expect ALL of what will essentially be more common "story cutscenes" to be the same scale as those events.

Still, I do agree that playing a bitter Null from the beginning sounds kinda weird

If they opt to kill all mutants, a naturally reoccurring thing, that will result in a program to constanlty kill childeren and teens at worst or mass doping with side effects and hefty pricetags at best. Won't solve having to be weary of supperpowered mooks as most powered heroes and villians arent mutants.

This whole mutant thing is humanity adapting to how bonkers the marvel cosmos tends to be, a net good for their survival well into the future.

On Earth 616, the main comics, mutants come from the X-Gene being introduced into the primordial soup by the celestials. The X-Gene being a response to the age of heroes is in some continuities such as The Ultimate universe where mutants came about from the Weapon X program. Yes, Wolverine was the first mutant in the Ultimate universe.

This is very strange, especially considering that the release of claws is not a mutant ability, and not even a physical change in the body under the influence of a mutation, it is literally just the most ordinary contraction of muscles, and if he blocks the ability to contract them, then within a radius of 100 feet (according to the description of the person from this topic, the range of his ability) all living beings should completely die, because the Leech superpowers would block the ability to contract the muscles of the lungs to breathe, and also the heartbeat. Walking or moving is also of course important, but it doesn't really matter when you're dead.

My guess is that leech's ability takes into consideration the presence of the x-gene in a person's body. I get what you mean by popping out claws is just contraction of muscles, but what i think is leech's ability has a kind of a blueprint of how an average human body is like. So it scans the mutant x gene and looks for any differences in the bodies of a mutant and the blueprint. My guess is that the muscles around the wrists of laura and the other weapon x kins is modified so as to be able to accommodate the pushing out of claws. Leech's ability sees this and decides that it's not similar to the blueprint and thus nullifies the muscles responsible for this.

The thing about Leech is that he... turns people into normal humans? Just think to the X-Men Last Stand movie. Beast extends his arm and it not only loses all fur, it loses muscle and claws. Later on it turns back.

Null disables the X-Gene in the way that M-Day did. So basically if Null went near some mutants without disabling his nullification, they'd end up like this.

As for me, this is already too far-fetched.

Yeah. I was making a point about how Leech's power is always on but only in a short range where as Null's has some ability outside his range to defend himself (telepathic attacks, Emma's Glamour) and when he gets better can control when it activates and doesn't. The tennis ball example being Null's training to keep the telekinetic ball in effect in his range so that it doesn't fall on his head.

The fact that it can instinctively activate to defend himself is why I consider Null a bit more potent than Leech.

Yeah, the disabling the X-Gene is what I got out of that from peoples reaction to the feeling of being disabled.

Are more interactions among the polycule going to be prioritzed?
There's noreal interaction among the girls. Unless one is jealous they dont even react to the others being kissed. Im assuming threesomes come donw the line, but maybe anything to tide poly lovers over before? The only poly activity so far is taking showers together in Null's room

I would like to see more long coversations with the girls. I havent gotten a dialogue tree with them since the opener (im guessing so they dont have to account for how the current rel state would change them or ppl might be bored?) letting us just talk to the characters more, like a new small personal dialogue tree every season could be neat and it is simpler since it wouldnt require any new art.
