Eeeeh. I'm not sure how willing the writing team is willing to go for this. A big part of her character was that she didn't have any control over her life when she was at the facility. Making things more equal is definitely on the table but bossing her around? Not likely gonna happen.

My idea wasn't really about bossing her around but more of her discovering someone she willingly submits to of her own choice. It would be less about Null saying 'hey you belong to me now' and more of her saying 'this guy is worthy of my respect and I willingly follow him' it would even be pretty funny for Null to not know why she switches from dommy mommy to loyal follower. Then again I suppose this could be what you get with the third option already being considered. She tries to go full dom and you tell her 'no bad girl, I'm not your toy' and she listens because she starts respecting you more. You wouldn't even need to officialy get into the inferior/superior alpha/beta topic in game but based on her actions it's a tacit understanding that she acts this way out of respect for your strenth/authority/ingenuity/intellect/whatever

I mean we still have that planned regardless of her quirk. She feels safe and protected around the main character. She's still gonna be sassy and deck someone if they give her trouble. Especially if they cross a social boundary.

I do like the idea of someone seeing Rouge act submissive around Null then trying it and getting a 5 finger refusal for the trouble lol. To be honest I already really like where Rouge is so I was mostly playing devils advocate to think of an alternative route just to blance it out and have something for all 3

Don't enable her quirk then.

I mean yes but then it just kinda feels like something was taken away without anything to take its place. I guess it kinda feels like Mass Effect if you had a Paragon and Neutral choice but no Renegade option for some people and then the reverse for others...or like Fallout4. Which is why I'm so glad a third option is being considered.

First of all never feel sorry for that, I'm convinced the writers of Four Elements Trainer sold more than just a measely soul to get that good at comedy and point the second this game lies much more in the serious realm where you just can't get away with similar levels of humor without drastically changing the feel of the entire game and personally I like the more serious tone. Makes it feel more impactful, not just the big events but even all the small filler stuff feels more important and meaningful.

Unfortunately that would be a very long way down the road. Since that would involve a whole host of new artwork for most of the sex scenes as well as re-writing the entire code base to account for whether Null is male or female, that basically amounts to developing two games in tandem.

Honestly, that's far more doable and in character. I'll run it by the writers.

I mean not really? They're two different routes. A quirk isn't adding something to non-quirk interactions. Character dynamics are outright changed.

One thing to remember with quirks is that they are an existing part of a character's canon personality, 616 canon, taken to an extreme.

Laura stalked Wolverine in the comics. She spied on him with the mansion's security system. We made it sexy when applied to Null. Eventually, she grew out of it and as chapters go on, you'll notice this protectiveness dying off if you didn't enable the behavior.

She'll still be protective because she cares about her (boy)friend but less shoving you into a closet and marking you by biting on your shoulder and more standing in between you and a guy being an asshole on the street.

Which is why I'm so glad a third option is being considered.

I'll temper expectations and note that it's not technically a third option. You're just tailoring the quirk to be less extreme sexually. Want Laura to stalk you but not kick down your door and fuck you amazon style without prompting? Then assert your sexual independence.
Note: Laura will always respect if you say no even if you do enable her quirk fully. She'll just be less aggressive in her advances.

We plan on having fun with this. Such as platonic quirk enabled Jean. Lots of fun plans of her just sitting in the sidelines watching her little bro date all those hussies that aren't her lol

This. I want it to be a thing but sadly we gotta be realistic. Plus side, when we finish the game, we'll have half of the dude art done since we're making bros a thing.

it's very rare to see credit given where its due in terms of inspiration, devs are a g for that.
Rogue like evolution was nostalgic asf using my favorite childhood x men cartoon even though I didn't enjoy the gameplay and dated interface.

I hope you guys go far with this. If the nature of 3D avn's are already a 50/50 in terms of development, 2D is even more of a wildcard because its tedious work for even fewer renders. Just looking at the top 2D games without name dropping and some of em are just straight up going to take over a year already just to update which is beyond disappointing.

I just am only trying it and the intangibles like UI, menu and music are already so polished. Depending on it goes I hope it'll push me over the hill of supporting legitimately.

The little things about the UI really help sell the game's immersion.

Take a little time to really play around with your phone. Between being able to customize it to the way that they have integrated apps into the menu. Sure, there are a few things which could be better accessible (girl stats take quite a bit longer to quickly check than is really convenient), but the framework for it all is just top notch.

The presentation was decided EARLY on to be something we wanted to focus on.

The comic aesthetic, the Synth/Metal soundtrack, the focus on facial expressions and the up coming dynamic poses. Equally prioritised as the writing.

A positive note to think about is that we'll have most of the male art done because of the bro system.

Also Red Panda left out an important part of the discord's statment.

We've discussed it but ultimately decided that we do not have the capability to write such a divisive character.

Some characters are just too hot, not in the fun way, for us to adapt for a porn game.

Edit: Yes it is because of her religion. Specifically how adherent she is to it.

Characters like Kitty, Wolfsbane, and Kamala? More wiggle room as they're more secular in their daily lives but Dust wears a face covering even inside the mansion and in several instances in the comics she is shown praying rather passionately.

This isn't us being politically correct or anything (Kamala is Muslim as well and is on the table for a potential sequel). It's just that a character like Dust would not fit well without compromising her character

It's fine, I get it. I got a list of suggestions, she was just on it. Let's see, there's Mystique (but I don't know you could her storywise without it being awkward), Jubilee, Emma Frost, Gwenpool, Storm, and Squirrel Girl.
