How's the sex gameplay? Is it freestyle like Roguelike or does it just have some images and animations like every other H game?

Nope. Each chapter is a full year.
Player decided. The general gameplay loop is gettin' gud and building trust with your teammates. You can skip girl stories and side content once you hit the minimum trust threshold to move onto the next season.
Some special events are unique to seasons though. There will be a "pool" of events and character dialogue that check for conditions. Like being hit with a snowball won't happen outside of winter. Neither will discussion on winter holidays. People will keep mentions of heatwaves to Summer.
We're going for the telltale experience. Not quite there yet but our beta testers can confirm that the intro alone has like 15 different combinations depending on your choices during character creation and your general behavior.
Yes. There will be scripted sex scenes, still CGs with narrations, and freestyle.
For transparency, sex has been one of the harder things to program but we'll be adding and building onto it as time goes on.

Girls start with their own type of hair downstairs. After you build enough stats with them you can tell them how you want it. There are a number of styles.
Also seems to grow over time, if i'm not mistaken.

That's already a pretty subjective question, but the game isn't even out yet, so there's no way to know. People probably expect it to be, or they wouldn't be here

having tested, I can at least say 99% of you will get way more than you expected for an initial release, was plenty fun
It's an adaptation of comic storylines.
While I can't confirm who, how, and when... Checking out the comics from Giant-Size X-Men to Onslaught Saga should give you plenty of hints and indications of where the story may end up going toward.
If you don't want to read thirty years of comics, the Marvel Wiki has really great synopsizes of the comic runs.
