The first is not mentioned; they could just as well be chilling on ice floes. The latter could be true, but not with the constellation of characters in chapter 1. (You can't invite Storm to swimming, yet).

Might be an oversight or a glitch. We are introducing more recreational activities so the need for constant pool parties should probably not be a thing.

Or we get funding for an indoor pool.

Complete the friendship quests first. They're mandatory for plot progression since team building is needed.

The saves were broken by a major update so it's possible that many of your issues are sourced to that.

I think I noticed this with group Study invites as well, and not just with Laura. It seems that if someone is already in the room with you, they don't respond to the message in group chat to train/study and get left out. Instead, I've had to ask in group chat if anyone wants to join me and then initiate the full group training/study session once everyone gets there.
