Do they actually do anything in game? How do I use them?
X-ray lets you see internal cumshots. Not all sex scenes are supported at the time of me writing this response.

Appearance change is activated by going to the bathroom mirror. Dialogue will adjust and reference your appearance.

So your head writer's argument is in favour of continuing with Null as the protagonist for any future games right? Asking to make sure since I have previously mistaken statements being the opposite of what the writer meant.
Null as the protagonist in Marvel settings.

If we moved to DC, Star Wars, or our original setting it'd be a different protagonist.

Why exactly does Richard Jones find Null boring to the point of excluding him from the comics the events he participated in? Or is that a question that will yet again cause the writers to do horrible things to you and your loved ones?
1. We all think it's funny.

2. Yes, explaining Rick Jones' in universe reason would be a spoiler.

Asking for clarification once again, do you mean events go down as they do in the comics or that events go down as it happens in Earth-69 just with Null removed and his part being done by someone else on the team?
The comics in real life. If you picked up Giant-Size X-Men in real life, that is what the characters on Earth-69 are reading. With very minor differences.

However they are not accurate depictions of the events on Earth-69.

The general event happens but as the X-Men have secret identities and often go on secret missions not everything is picked up. Some stories are just plain fabricated.

For example. The mention of the X-Men being kidnapped and turned into circus performers. That comic was made up by Earth 69's Marvel comics because they needed filler issues.

An example of a major change that's already happened.

MASSIVE SPOILER FOR CHAPTER 1.
is the finale of Chapter 1. If you look at the comic release order in real life, this is several years apart. The explanation for why it happens that way is because Marvel Comics only finds out about it then.

Oh yeah, yeah I meant to type "future Marvel/X-Men games" but forgot the "Marvel/X-Men" bit. That's why I called it "the dev team's one protagonist per setting thing" in some of my previous posts discussing the matter. See this is why I always ask for clarification if I'm not 100% certain what someone meant as just a couple of words missing changed my meaning entirely.

Also FUCK! I almost spoiled myself trying to quote your post, I just skimmed the words Muir Island before deleting the spoiler. Now I know it's something to do with Muir Island so I got to remember not to look up anything regarding that before I play Chapter 1 for myself. I'm looking forward for the few exceptions you said Null will have in Earth-69 Marvel comics, must be pretty major for Null to be included when he's normally excluded during normal times.

Stable relationships, the actual respect of his team, the fact that he's actively working to reduce the drama/trauma in the X-Mansion and succeeding?

I meant to explain that there are minor differences in how a comic issue in real life may differ in Earth-69.

Minor as in mentioning the current year, who is president, the stylistic presentation of real life brands, stuff that's presented as "modern" during the story's creation.

Though the general plotlines and and story beats are 1x1.

Stable relationships, the actual respect of his team, the fact that he's actively working to reduce the drama/trauma in the X-Mansion and succeeding?
Anyone who knows anything about Rick Jones would 100% understand if this was the exact reason.

I love this! I dunno why, it's just so cool to me when comics exist in the world.
Despite me and other members of the community frequently complaining about the state of the comics, we all genuinely have a passion for comics, or at least the X-Men, and we want to share that passion.

It's why in game we break the 4th wall by listing comic books featuring the characters.

We've had people tell us that our game has got them into reading comic books and that is something we 100% take pride in.

Me not liking the Krakoa Era doesn't mean I suddenly dislike Claremont's run on the X-Men.

Joe Quesada didn't ruin X-23 for me because the show runner of Evo was so pissed off he came in and wrote both* of X-23's origin comic runs just to set the record straight and her future writers.

There are comics, including ones coming out today, that are fantastic and are worth buying. You very much should reward Marvel with $$$ whenever they create something good.

Chapter 2 is going to be an adaptation of Phoenix Saga. We're not going with the intention that we're gonna write it "better". We're going in with the intention of having you, the player, feel immersed in the storyline and if it inspires you to read the actual Phoenix Saga then GOOD! It's a legendary story for a reason!

Buttholder has write ups for each girl we introduce for those who want to see the best of their favorite waifu in official Marvel stories and he intends to continue to add more as we progress through the game.

*He wrote the initial to reclaim the character and then made a second that filled in some gaps and added more info for a storyline that was going on at the time.

Just to specify, all of the reports you read are 'real' in-universe - if you read something that says it was written by Xavier, or a transcript of a phone call or characters discussing things, it's canon to the game, not some dude writing fanfic even though, strictly speaking, I am that dude and I am writing fanfic shut up you know what I mean
Shes the only new marvel character i have genuinely come to appreciate.

Gabby's relationship with Deadpool is the most wholesome thing, he's like the slacker big brother her sister won't let her hang out with.

Like, all of it? If that's the case you really weren't kidding when you said this game is gonna be very plot heavy, that's what, 17 comics?

It seems that chapter two is starting with the dark pheonix arc which takes place over just a few days (Yeah that entire arc, including the Hellfire club takes place within a single week). That is a lot to fit into one week so with the reveal some events are taking place out of order I am wondering if the chapter will start with Dazzler and Kitty's recruitment story in the first season, divide and combine various other stories that involve Kitty, Dazzler or the pheonix (Magneto's R'lyeh for Kitty as an example) saving the big end of chapter event for Dark pheonix.

So many of the dialogues often give a 'raging douchenozzle' response option.

Is there a point, to those? Even masochistic rogue doesn't respond well to them. They just cost you points and make progress slower.

Alot of games do this I guess but since the dialogue system seems at least somewhat better thought out in this one than most...is there a point to them that i'm missing? At a certain point can you make all three girls enjoy the verbal abuse or something?

Or is it just there to be there?

While not spoiling any plot.

Some events of the Saga are indeed switched around and while the after effects will obviously be felt in Chapter 3, the events themselves are going to be restricted to chapter 2.

A lot of the Hellfire stuff does happen over the course of a week but don't forget that the Shi'ar succession crisis occurs during the saga and that the Dark Phoenix isn't just Jean becoming Black Queen.

Seriously, anyone wanna miss out on this?

There are some rude comments but I'm assuming you mean Bitter/Anti-Hero Null.

A reason why I say there's no min-maxing in this game is because minor short-term losses can lead to major long-term gains.

It depends on character temperament and what the context is.

For example:
X-23 thinks you held back against the mob and if you choose the angry option she appreciates it. Jean and Rogue think you're justified but bodying like 30 people and being aggressive is a bit intimidating to them.

I'll straight up give a heads up that several potential girls will not be impressed if you have a boyscout reputation.

While I don't see many talk about it. I'm gonna take a moment to mention that Reluctant/Responsible Null isn't just the "Middle Option" between being good and bad.

Your Null will gain a reputation for being cautious and someone who thinks before he acts. Many characters will prefer him over Paragon and Renegade.

I don't think they're talking about the marked "determined, reluctant, bitter" dialogue options, they're talking about the options in everyday/event dialogue with the girls where you can just be a dick for no particular reason aside from roleplaying I guess lol

To be clear, I'm only getting in the middle of this because I was also wondering if there's any point to them beyond just text flavors and having a obvious wrong option to choose if you want people to actually like Null

No, no...I mean raging douchenozzle Null. lol

I mean dialogue options that don't even have an alignment symbol.

Like the one that just prompted me to made this comment is in the chapter after the mall attack, there's a scene where Rogue thanks the MC for sending X23 to talk to her the first night their friendship started and commenting about how nice it is to see she's so much more than people thought.

At this point the relationship with all the girls is fairly well progressed, plenty of love and trust. There's two normal-ish responses.

Then there's a response that goes something like "Well gee Rogue, who the fuck would have thought that treating her like a human being would be positive?"

Like...damn. WTF did rogue do to deserve a response like that? WTF did anyone in the Academy do? Nobody was abusing X23. She was very aggressive and hostile to people so they avoided her. Fair enough.

While that was the one that prompted me to finally comment, there's been TONS of just douchey, hostile options that are just mean to the girls for no reason and as far as I can tell, exist only to knock a few points of love and trust off the numbers.

They don't even fit for 'Bitter' personality. Most of the 'Bitter' responses tend to still be fundamentally decent enough when they actually have the bitter symbol next to them. These responses aren't 'Bitter'. They're just 'Raging Douchenozzle'.

Facts. I pay for a Marvel Unlimited subscription because this game got me interested in reading the actual comics.

Any idea on whether the white hair option is being considered or was rejected? I saw it asked for before and that the idea would be pitched for consideration. I like the white hair aesthetic but not blonde, which is the closest option available. Storm aint blonde. It's a meaningful difference.

You're referring to the 'bottom' answers where you can be aggressive or passively rude and stuff, right?

The point is to have them and to give the player options. Veilguard removed the 'aggressive' options from Dragon Age and I lost all interest in playing that game. I play games to play my PC how I want, not how some milktoast simp tells me I should play my PC.
