That's just how comics work dude.
I know. It's just me yelling into the wind over nothing. I'm sorry if my ramblings and complaints offended or annoyed anyone.

Still, with all the foibles and personal annoyances I had, the Claremont run of X-Men has actually been extremely enjoyable as someone who only ever watched the cartoons, and I'm more excited to see it translated into this game, so thank you for introducing me to this era of comics. Also, the fact that the comic artists seemed as keen to put female characters into different skimpy or fetishistic outfits as anyone on this forum was an amusing surprise.

Ah fuck I'm an idiot...all this time playing since it released that I never bothered to check some parts of the tutorial I could disable default outfits and keep the custom ones makes me so damn dumb, atm got Rogue and Jean sleeping naked with me as I'm still progressing through Laura lmao

Laura wants to drag you down to her level as a disaster gremlin. Punch things, eat raw meat, shout into the darkness, and punch whatever comes out.
I hadn't seen it that way and I love it.

Thats the secret we didnt tell our parents when they bought us comics as kids.

Mom didn't have a clue. Dad knew. When he thought I was old enough, he showed me Vertigo, Manara, Crumb, Heavy Metal stories... That was part of not buying Superhero comics anymore.

Just if you could ignore this post ShinyBoots, It's just Mood swing bullshit sorry

Yeah it ain't easy. I don't know why people get confused about building relationships in a game focused on building relationships.

Like that's the game. There's two other X-Men games that are essentially meet&fuck and I don't know why people think we we'd simplify things when we've been very transparent about where we're going.
That is not what I'm requesting or even stating. I'm merely pointing out the problem of as more girls get added if you have to increase the friendship stat ( to make them friends with each other) and that if that system is required for a lot of the girls how it's an exponentially increasing grind that I feel will be excessive in the future. It works perfectly fine with only a few girls to date.

I do not want to just add each girl with no work at all, I'm not sure where this thought that that is what I'm asking for is coming from.

I'd much rather do that side of it via conversations and story elements then having to do the same things over and over exponentially each update. I'm also fine with when the character dynamics make sense having to grind through a bunch of similar events to build up the relationship.

EDIT: Edited out a comment because it was in heat of moment and shouldn't have been said and quote was probably because of a misunderstanding from what I wrote.

This one would be an easy solution. Either add player xp after main story events so more time can be focused on getting love/trust points, or just increase love/trust xp yield from relationship building hangouts/dates every subsequent chapter as more girls are added.

Only downside is that people who date fewer will max relationship points faster, but that will happen anyway.

Edit: shouldn't be needed though. Just stay on top of points each chapter.

And this is probably why a lot of the feedback you get is from the vocal minority of the players is because any feedback presented from other players gets quickly hand waved and admonished for daring to ask about.

EDIT: by hand waving I mean boiling down what I was writing to "oh they just want stuff for free"
Hey man, if you want your harem of mutant babes, you gotta earn it, aside from the points boosts you get as you level up, it wouldnt make any sense for each year for the girls to get easier and easier to court.

As long as they keep the current 1000 cap it's easily doable if they only introduce 3 girls per chapter. You can max all 3 in chapter 1 after all.

Sounds reasonable to me, you can make a big chunk of that to begin with just playing and having their events, what wouldnt make sense would be for chapter 1 girls to be 1000, 2 to be 800, and so on and so on.
That said, i am not looking foward to making the whole harem of 15+ chicks when all its said and done, the task of making all them 15 like each other enough? hell, Null might need to form a conclave to discuss the matter each time.
They probably will passivly gain points with their daily interactions with each other as you go about your game normally though, so theres that.

Okay when I say "friendship" I mean specifically the stat you need to increase between two girls to make them friends with each other.

So You need to make Jean friends with Laura and Rogue to be able to date her. As in make them friends to get permission to date her without pissing everyone off.

When the next update comes you need to make Jean friends with Storm, Dazzler and Kitty. Not that big of a deal.
But whoever you romance last of the new girls ( say it's Storm )you need to make friends with Laura, Jean, Rogue, Dazzler, and Kitty. Still not horrible but inching up into not fun.

Then say they add Magik, Jubilee, Pyslocke.

The next update you need to make friends with Laura, Jean, Rogue, Dazzler, Kitty, Storm, Magik, and Jubilee to have the final girl permitted to date. For just the last girl alone.

And not saying you shouldn't work for the relationships but after a while the current system will become excessive. I'd rather unlock them by having various conversations with them and only have to grind the rep when they initially dislike each other.

Again this might already by the plan and everything I say is for nothing, who knows.

EDIT: I have no issue with the way things work in the game in regards to love/trust, I don't even take the perks to increase the numbers I get for them.

But this is future problem and I've spammed the thread way too much already.

Yeah that's fair. Under the current friendship system it would be unworkable by ch3. Not enough time to manage 18 different girl-girl friend stats. Adding more inter-girl things to add points or something would help. Maybe also making it dynamic based on characters might help (Kitty starts friendlier with Rogue and Magik, but Jean starts colder to Emma.)

I mean TBH Emma would start in unfriendly terms with EVERYONE.
And then youd Kitty and Jubes liking Laura.

Yeah they may already have plans to rectify that, my concern comes form the devs stating that they don't want to make it easy for those types of players since they believed they were in the minority and that the system is the way specifically for that reason.

I apologize to the forums as my "Crash out" and spam is mostly from people thinking I'm talking about the Trust/love mechanic when I guess I worded it wrong by calling it friendship.

Yeah it makes sense to have to grind rep for Emma when she is released. I also think Storm you might have to as well since she is in a Professor role and you would probably have to ease that dynamic.

Yeah sorry,. My mistake was just reading your post without context.

I'd like the devs to explain how they would max 36 separate friend stats in chapter 5 in the current system(12 girls per 3 added in 5).
