That thing really explains alot of what happens to Laura down the road and how she became a better person.

It could be. Like I said, there's a lot we have to leave out when we're writing scenes, and a lot that has to go unsaid. Like, with Laura, she doesn't have to stay at the school - literally, who's going to stop her? Logan, traditionally, has kept his distance, for multiple reasons, and he's probably the only one who could keep her there. And messing with her mind or implanting some kind of psychic suggestion that makes her think the school is safe would be the one betrayal that could never be walked back from.

My own idea, and it's one that I expressed to the team before I joined, is that she wants to atone for all the assassinations that she was forced into. She knows that it wasn't her fault, that she literally did not know what she was doing, but in understanding all that, she feels the guilt and the need to make up for it. While, with Wolverine, every time he pops the claws in a fight, it's cool and badass. For her, it's a failure. It's guilt. She's probably going to have to hurt someone again and she doesn't want to. Sometimes, it can't be avoided, as with the Juggernaut, but other times, it's a reminder of all she's done. Maybe our version received the letter, maybe it's her own need to be a better person. Unless/until we deal with it, it's really up to the player.

Seriously though, while obviously it'd be different...Null literally is the equivalent of a wild card, using all the abilities of those around him, while still not being able to do everything himself.

I think I was trying to compare Null interacting with the girls to Persona's S-links, in that you/the protagonist interacting/getting to know the various characters generally have a positive effect on their respective personalities, such as helping them become more self-assured, adventurous, compassionate and so on and so forth compared to where they were before meeting you; thus why I posted, what I vaguely remember being, the "I am thou, thou art I" "S-link rank up" music that plays.

That said, I'm sure that this game directly associating each character with a specific arcana would be too on the nose.

If it's one-to-one with the comics, then the next three are likely going to be Magik, Mirage and Wolfsbane.

Cecilia Reyes canonically doesn't get involved with the X-Men till almost two decades after the events that chapter 3 will cover, whether the devs want to formally introduce her earlier is unknown, but there are a lot of hugely popular characters in the running as well, even beyond the three I mentioned above.

I believe it has been stated or at least implied that things will go differently in some ways based on Null's presence and actions compared to how things go in the comics. Also the changes they've made for certain characters also need to be taken into account.

So it is doubtful that things would be/will be one to one.

I think from what the devs/creative have said, it won't be 1 to 1, but it WILL be relatively faithful, at least in terms of WHEN characters are introduced, with the one major exception being Laura, and the one minor exception being Reyes, because Laura has the most potential as a character to have in early on, and Reyes just because there was the implication that when she was introduced in the comics, she already knew Xavier/The X-Men in some capacity, so her inclusion right now is just filling that gap.

I believe this comes down to consent. They are all looking for validation on how they feel. Your not really pushing a quirk on them more like encouraging what they want. Giving them permission to act this way with you. At least that is how I see it.

Now I do have a bit of hesitation in some of the dialogue with Rogue, feel like it straddles humiliation more then dominance a bit in some. But that is a very minor thing.

It'd be good Null/Logan/Laura bonding.

Also Null is basically the only one in the whole school who could do it and get away with it.

Quick question, how does popularity poll work, digit wise? Grade is GPA, so max is 4.0, fall if doesn't attend class/study. Danger room I believe just increase as long as I training there, so starting at 1 and increase. Popularity green bar just kinda hover near the right side, and the number varied. I think I start the game at like 4, and now that it is "maxed", it's a 1?

I am not sure all of those "side fluff stats" are fully implemented or active yet and without digging in the files, some stuff feels hardcoded to me.

For ex. it is quite doable to outstudy Jean and Rogue to win the cognitive score board a few times, but even using cheat inject for max energy points/free time slots and going full bonkers in the training room? Good luck outscoring Laura, ever.
I think when I stopped trying I had ~70 on the combat board, the third placed were 32.. and her score shot from 74 to 181 IN ONE DAMN DAY.
One competitive qt.
And no, as I recall, my danger-room rank or w/e it is called never went up either.
I am just guessing things like that are meant to become story milestones, not grind-jobs

I can imagine her looking at the leaderboard with an expression of confusion, anger, pride and horny all mixed up and then going on a full throttle grind to 181. Then when she's done she ambushes you in your room for some good ol' angy sexo.

err... danger room is a grindfest... and i can get to about 250 easilly and still win the class one too since i maxed energy and classes point to maximise experience points (since i wanted to get the most level to get the achievements easier for at least level 20 without spending full day grindings)

I have three pictures attached. First is at the beginning of the day, so you can see we all started at 0. Then I have one where I trained solo all day, kicking Laura out every time she showed up. Then I have another one where I reloaded the beginning of the day for a blank slate and called Laura to come train with me every time.

As you can see, you have some control over the situation.
