i wouldn't be so sure about that, if you seen all the lore of their relationship, they're more like marvel's version of ross and Rachel. they only get along a little bit of the time and will fight over the smallest things on the drop of a hat, they aren't really good for each other.

actually it's mostly gambit being a dick either neglectful of rogue, making decisions without her opinion or consent, complaining on thing she'll on reasonable things she does, doing dick-ish things to that he doesn't give a a single thought when doing it.

its only slander if its not true, but this is, there's lots of stuff of gambit being a neglectful and inconsiderate to rogue, not to mention gambit is a kleptomaniac, 50% of the time he's lying to people, a con-man, a swindling card shark, and so much more things that he is aware of but refuses to stop or get check out because he likes it. it's in the comics, shows, movie references, the games (in both the canon an non canon ones).

I mean yeah Gambit is the King of Thieves, of course he's a lying klepto, but there is also countless depictions of Remy being a decent guy willing to even sacrafice himself for his team and Rogue. Dude has had a lot of character growth over the years.
