I have some questions about chapter 2. how will the new characters be introduced? will they just randomly show up 1 day or will they be introduced via an event? will they be introduced all at once or spaced out?

At the beginning of of chapter 1 you did have a little bit of time before you could interact with Jean in the sandbox so I'd imagine It'll be that way for the other 3. I'd say Storm is the first one. But we'll just have to wait and see m8.
They will all spawn in my bedroom, ready for action!
I don't wear shiny boots, but my irrelevant guess is that Dazzler and Kitty will show up as new students at age 18, one grade/year below the player and Laura then.
The possibly still confused Ororo will most likely popup as teacher.
No idea how interactively Kurt and Piotr will become if you can do bro hangouts with them later as well.
Whatever, the characters above will most likely be introduced during the first season in a similar fashion like the C1 ones.
Emma possibly gets her first show at the end of C2S1, but maybe there will also be an intro with her before the first C2 season starts.
That's at least how I imagine it, but maybe someone with shiny boots can give a true answer.

We saw a preview for Dazzler's introduction a while back, and it appears to be one-to-one with her comic introduction (Uncanny X-Men #130). Presumably, Null is along with Kurt, Jean and Scott (Rogue and Laura's role is still a mystery) while the rest of the X-Men handle Kitty's recruitment.
If it's following the comic, Emma's first appearance will be at the very beginning of chapter 2 alongside Dazzler and Kitty's recruitment,

Colossus getting more screen time also lines up with the events.
If they actually add Scott as bro too. Yeah, no idea about the comics.
Here, Scott's role seems rather be replaced by Null. Maybe Dazzler will be introduced during the first bro hangout event together with Piotr what Kurt mentioned at the end of C1 visiting a club or concert.

Hell no, Scott's the leader of the X-men, the only thing Null is leading in is number of days in the infirmary.
The current roster of the X-men as in the ending of chapter 1 is Cyclops, Wolverine, Colossus, Marvel girl (Jean), Storm, Beast and Thunderbird, and if im not mistaken i think those are Cecilia and Forge in the picture.
Rogue, X-23, Nightcrawler and Null are still students.
Hell yeah, Scott is actually likeable in this era of comics before the bullshit tainted him. There's no reason for Null to replace him or his replacement if this game follows his retirement plot. (I have never read X-Factor, so I don't know how it goes there or how his character develops.)
I get it, but Jean will hardly hang out with Scott anymore unlike in whatever other media, except it's actually a mission like at the C1 finale. School is basically over for Jean after C1 if I'm not mistaken.
I got my doubts if Scott really wants to become a buddy of Null if he has basically stolen his girl.
Forge like Hank were mentioned once during C1S3 finale. Hank also shows up in the phone.
We'll see how the introductions go.
Btw, every mansion character has a schedule what they can do each day based on a weighting system, so all it takes is sprite support to make them show up.
