I really wish they included the battle system and actually sent us for missions. And made this system optional because sometimes we are just here for horny stuff. But no, this "mutant activity alerts" just here to taunt us worse than Rogue's ass.
That's a pretty accurate observation sending MC/Null to missions but the thing is that he still sucks in combats so mby my guess is that dev'll probably make some events in the future, in which X-men will take him with them.

I believe there are discussions about how to go about figuring out some type of combat system for a while now. The Renpy engine kinda limits what you can do so my guess would be some kind of turn based combat. Heh maybe a card system like Midnight Suns but without the whole 3D stuff.
Can't make 3D an option due to engine limitations but Ron did invent real time physics for renpy.
Cards and a turn based system have both been looked at. With Midnight Sun being looked at for the former and the Atom Eve game being something I took a look at for the latter.
Though right now combat is really low on the priority list... Like near the bottom.
