Do you get the flickering from the start or if you load a save from the option menu by right click in game?
I just noticed the flickering by the latter, if you go back to main menu and then load a save it's gone for whatever reason in my case.

Can't make 3D an option due to engine limitations but Ron did invent real time physics for renpy.
Cards and a turn based system have both been looked at. With Midnight Sun being looked at for the former and the Atom Eve game being something I took a look at for the latter.
Though right now combat is really low on the priority list... Like near the bottom.
He really only got his ass kicked due to naiveté in chapter 1.
Like yeah some of you may know his power wouldn't have worked on Juggernaut or a sentinel but we decided to go with the show don't tell route.
He also didn't get his ass beat in the third event. Dude just got tired.
I wonder what the long term consequences of being blasted with the cosmic embodiment of rebirth will have on a dude like that?

Disabling multithreading fixed the flickering for me but that's not guaranteed to work for everyone, of course

I started reading X-Men before the first Giant Sized X-men came out in the mid '1970s. I was reading the Hulk when Wolverine was first introduced. But I haven't really paid attention to X-men or comics in general for the last 30 years.
The best part of this game is that the love for X-Men shines through. So much so that I am currently watching the X-Men: Evolution cartoon for the fist time in my life.
And I am re-reading the silver age X-Men, and will eventually get back to Giant sized and beyond... so this game has rekindled my interest in the X-Men.
Silver age X-Men is interesting. I was 10 years old when X-Men was restarted with the Giant Sized issue. I had collected all the Silver age as no one cared about the X-men at that time... so you could find them at a used book store for pocket change.
Sadly, some kids broke into my parent's house at one point and stole most of my comic books. I only have a few hundred left from that time.
Anyway thanks for rekindling my interest in X-Men.

Yeah. This game is a great blend of things. Stories with call backs to the comic span from Giant X-Men through the 90s and set in the Evolution time in the mid 00s with some characters and designs from around then.
Yeah, I read Dazzler when she was first introduced, but I only really know Rogue from the movies... and I don't know much about Kitty Pride, or X-23. It will take some time for me to catch up to the 00s.... as I stopped reading comics around 1984 or 1985 I guess... occasionally reading Watchmen or some random X-Men book during the '90s but not paying that much attention generally.
Evolution is quite good.... some of the story lines I know, some I do not. Nightcrawler has always been my favorite X-men since he was first introduced, and he is well written in Evolution (and here in this game). I also started watching X-men 97 but the animation is a little spotty.... but then I decided, "fuck it" I am going back to the silver age... lol.

The game is oozing with genuine appreciation and fanservice in the good sense, between it and deadpool & wolverine it motivated me to go read the comics since 1963, im currently a bit after the first giant size, its great.
Evo is a great show, since it basically re-imagined consolidated decades of X-men stories into a modern setting and gave us the best portrayal of Cyclops, Kitty and other characters on TV (also, it gave us Laura).
Its honestly depressing that a porn game does give us better and more heartfelt X-men content than what Marvel comics even cares to do nowadays, so a genuinely great job by the team.
Honestly my lack of Comics knowledge leaves me with no ideas on narritive impact. I'm assuming that the effect of cosmic rebirth energy would be near resorection level regen and thus high levels of recklessness. But then again, I don't know what the "embodiment" aspect adds to this equation.
A voice in the back of your mind insisting you take the pregnancy route maybe? A secret route to romancing the Pheonix directly, perhaps? Incomprehencible cosmic being making you functionally immortal cause it fell for your heroic sacrefice rizz. BigSis Jean and Queen Emma stand no chance againt DommyMommy Pheonix.

Actually, speaking of: Will the black queen plot even happen? Null is a direct counter to Mastermind's BS, and a good chunk of the arc was reliant on Mastermind fucking things over for everyone.
Although the Hellfire club is probably well aware of Null's powers (unless Emma is playing games to cement her power), it would be hilarious if Mastermind tries it only to be immediately shut down by an oblivious Null, making Mastermind declare Null his archnemesis.

Kinda? Sorta? We need it to an extent for the Dark Phoenix to come about.
There's a general distaste for a bunch of the storyline because of Mastermind being really skeevy.
As shown in the finale of Chapter 1. Null can break someone's mind control but he kinda needs to be aware of it. So again it will likely be just enough to get the Dark Phoenix.
Veterans of the community will know that while we don't mind skeevy villains or people being perverts, we're adverse to the idea of actually subjecting characters to sexual situations for the sake of plot progression.
It's edgy and gross but despite past claims of forcing morals and an agenda, the primary reason we avoid that is that the writers feel icky writing that kind of content.
For those of you who really dig Jean's Black Queen outfit. A straightforward way of getting it is just to have Null and Jean to stop Mastermind before he puts her in the very revealing outfit and have them find it.
A line can be mentioned. "You know this would actually look good on me... in the bedroom."
Also to those asking how we can still have Dark Phoenix despite shoving a boot up Mastermind's ass... Reminder that The Phoenix Force is a separate entity from Jean and doesn't actually require a mutant. Null can't influence a cosmic being quite yet if he still can't stop non-X-Gene powered individuals.
I'll bring it to the attention of Ron.
