So I've been on a little vacation and I'm going to make an exception to reading EVERY post as I got a backlog of like almost 20 pages. What I have seen though I appreciate the good eggs in our community for answering accurately when someone asked about development and being helpful with advice.
I'll respond to a few things though.
You arguably have the option to make her worse.
Okay this was a great pun.
There are some permadeaths in comic history that are really well done. Many by Marvel. I do have to wonder about the alternate reality where Jean's death was permanent.
Then you're going to love Chapters 2-5.
As an FYI, Giant-Size took place roughly 8 months before the beginning of the game.
And Marvel went on to assassinate his character several times.
Both of which will likely make an appearance if the budget permits.
I have suggested that exact scenario when it comes to telepaths. It's up to the writing team if they want to go through with it.
Rogue's current personality is actually true to comics. When she got away from Mystique and Magneto's influence she became rather meek and unsure of herself. The Rogue y'all are familiar with that was displayed very well in the 90s cartoon doesn't come around until the late 80s. Reminder that we're currently adapting stories from the 70s.
That version of Rogue will make an appearance as the story progresses.
As to why Rogue acts the way she does when you enable her coping mechanism... Rogue has ALWAYS longed for a quiet life free from the drama of being a mutant in essentially every iteration of the character. Including the canon 616.
Comics, the films, the 90s cartoon, Evo. Every opportunity that presents itself to leave super heroing behind to be "normal" she's jumped at. Null is currently the closest thing she has to that but it's not a complete departure. She let's Null take control in her life and not just the bedroom because that way she can escape the burden and the trauma of never being able to touch someone without putting them in a coma or killing them. Null proved to be a great protector so why not have him shield her from life's concerns?
As for Jean's quirk. She isn't respected by most of the people in her life, she has constant pressure to succeed and be the best, she is the second youngest child with 2 older brothers, an older sister, and a younger sister.
She essentially has no control over any aspect of her life... except that she's been assigned as the RA to the latest batch of students and there's a new young man who seems eager to please.
The faux incest thing starts as a funny joke but due to deep rooted issues she makes it a kink because again, older brothers who held seniority over her.
Her initial interest in Null is very much exploitative and predatory to sate her need to have control over at least one aspect of her life. It becomes even more so if you encourage her quirk.
Quirks will be explored psychologically in the future but in the beginning you're just enabling unhealthy coping mechanisms that don't solve the core issue.
I've personally seen the art for it.
3 new fully romancable ones in chapter 2 with a possible fling.
Comes with every update even if it's not a content update.
Very much on the todo list
Are the leaves green? Do the trees even have leaves?
Jokes aside, your phone should tell you.
