Yeah, I picked a quiet time to return to the game and rather wanted to prepare for v1.1, like finishing most of these silly achievements before I restart the game with v1.1 and play it how it's meant to be played and not like a virginal saint.
Hell, it's still so much time though until v1.1 happens.
MyTNHConfigMod is rather a by-product of my private correction mods that I tend to do for all Renpy games I play. I wasn't really planning to publish anything, but easily feel sorry for other players that have to suffer from unnecessary flaws, like watching these endless game splashscreens, missing the auto quickmenu button or lack of ingame info about game features. Well, my "corrections" have already gone a bit overboard after eagerly trying to change so many things for the better by now. I don't like leaving unfinished business behind before turning my attention to other games again, but I might still do some short breaks to play some 1-2 hour updates of other games occasionally.
Maybe I'm going to send my changes to the mod forum exile after the next official update hits.
Btw, I've also expanded the hotkeys options tab:
I've added some further location hotkeys, but let's see how many new locations arrive with v0.9. While I also prefer the 1/2/3 hotkeys to quickly jump to regular locations, they are still not enough like to quickly slurp a
in the kitchen every day. Going to the mall also feels a bit awkwark to do without hotkey. There are still some free hotkeys available.

If I want to get Jean to Bestie status with both other girls, should I do group activities or are pair combos more effective?

Something to note is that Jean might have a max cap at "good friends" status with the others. I don't remember. freddygonzo could confirm for sure.
Makes no difference for efficiency. No point splitting. All people who participate get points.
For point numbers check " Other activities that earn friendship points " here.
And above that section for if you want the fine detail on how the parties work.

Damn, I totally forgot to mention Jean's friendship-tier cap at Good Friends to Rogue and Laura in the guide.
I better put this info into the quest database too although it's a little bit metagaming info, but too many players have already asked about this so far.
PS: I've also added the info about Laura not receiving any FPs until the event when she asks what friendship means and you'll send her to Rogue for advice later. This is the second part of her first_friend event that is part of her first Friendship side quest.

Update #9: removed the level- and XP-notifications of NPCs; Paizuri renamed to Titjob; new Quests & Friendships tutorial database entries; removed obsolete database remarks; new hotkeys with options menu support: "x" for Xavier's Study, "l" for Mall, "k" for Kitchen, "o" for Pool; made quick menu more transparent; thousands separator for inventory; beards added to portrait customization
Much less spam of useless notifications now, showing only the important ones affecting the player. As long as levels and XP have no use for companions then there is no need to show them.
I had to look up what paizuri means, and I'm sure other players as well. Titjob is also used as expression during the action descriptions, hence making it strange for no good reason. You can still remove that text replacement under text replacements in the mod file.
The new Quests and Friendships tutorial database entries should help. I'm already scratching at the string-limit of the Quests page, so can't really add more here. Speculation of mine about Best Friends only possible between two companions, hence I might change that in the future. I've also removed obsolete remarks like the level cap and the L/T bonus of the Attendance Bonus buff.
All the added hotkeys so far finally found a home in the Options menu's Hotkeys tab, so you can quickly look them up in the game. I've also added the Renpy standard key mapping for screenshots, fullscreen, UI, and self-voicing text. Originally, you only get to see the Remote Vibrator hotkey entry whith its remote in the player inventory, but its empty entry gap on this screen looked too strange, therefore it's always visible now. There are still some free hotkeys left for new locations announced for v0.9.
Added transparency to the quick menu makes it even less obtrusive now. You can adjust that in the file under Transform(alpha=x). I also excluded the QM from the Large Text Mode as the font size is already large enough.
The beard customization option is hidden in the code, therefore if officially supported one day then this mod-option gets kicked out. If you turn the option off then player.beard is set to 0, so you don't need to worry about shaving before that. Option should be Off by default but it's saved in the game's persistent file located in the saves folder where Renpy saves other game options and stuff.
This is the first gameplay options setting I've added. More could come in the future, especially if more hotkeys are officially added to the game.

Group dates, and group sex for that matter: Not yet. Wait 'till 1.0.
Platonic hang-outs: Training, swimming, going to class, studying*, weekend barbecues, walks down town and movie nights.
*Never did it as a group, so I can't confirm.

Studying with all three girls is definitely very useful to gain friendship next to experience and academic/cognitive points, especially if you also got the Hygenic Habits, and Night Owl perks or stamina boosts allowing studying more than two times in a row at night times.

The Nyx timeline never happened so the whole child prostitute thing for Laura does not exist and i hope that Joe Quesada steps on a rusted nail one day for coming up with that garbage

None of that has happened in TNH...except the gay beam, we still havent met Bobby yet to confirm he hasnt been beamed.
