Disturbed, then. You can't open a "gym music to pump iron" video without a song of theirs playing, and they have some angst in there while also being famous enough Laura would know them without having to surf the internet much.

Is the implication here that Linkin Park, one of the best-selling bands of all time, is some obscure band no one has heard of except on the Internet?
Unless you're talking a specific time frame like before Linkin Park's debut studio album in 2000, maybe? Because otherwise it's over 100 million albums sold by Linkin Park vs about 17 million for Disturbed, and you couldn't turn on a radio to a rock station without hearing something by Linkin Park in the rotation.
I suppose maybe it's different with public playlists now or something, but then you're getting on the Internet.

We were wondering what kind of nu-metalish thing Laura would listen to. Disturbed seems to fit more Laura because they sound more angsty and harder, while also still being famous enough to be known without having to spend much time looking for bands, and they play often in music compilations themed around gyms, which seems to be Laura's favourite spot.

Okay, that I could see then. I had read the original post as somehow implying LP wasn't popular enough to have encountered outside browsing specific sectors of the Internet.
Though I will say I've heard "One Step Closer" and a few others from their harder, earlier stuff pop up not that uncommonly in workout playlists. So either or both could work in my opinion.
I'd mention "Bodies" by Drowning Pool as another common workout nu metal song, but that's a bit on the nose, and not sure something she'd enjoy dwelling on.

Sorry to break the conversation from LP and Disturbed. but I have a question.
How the hell do I level up? it seems like my level has been locked at 8 since Chapter I Winter, I went through spring and Summer watching my XP bar not even move despite spending nearly all day during the week in classes, and all weekend/evenings in the Danger Room.
Unless there's some super secret xp farm that I am missing I really would like to level up if that is at all possible.

Don't know if they added a cap. I don't think so. I do remember xp gain got exponentially stupid around level 8 before though, so that still might be it.
A problem for Chapter 2(build 1.1) maybe if they don't scale the xp gain up that chapter.
Level 6 is fine for the current build which is at chapter 1.
The max level looks to be around 30 based on achievements. And that's acounting for like 5 chapters.
The current level cap is 15, and standard leveling drastically slows around level 7.

I'm currently at level 10, it just takes a lot of XP, just be sure to buy that perk that gives you more XP to lessen the farm
Also leaving a note here, since I know I was complaining about some weird performance issues and crashing a while back, it seems like it might've been caused by browser settings, not just game settings. Anyone using a web browser while having the game open should also probably disable hardware acceleration/graphics acceleration in their browser settings.
Opera GX been causing me hella problems the past week or so, and I finally narrowed it down to around the time I briefly enabled the setting a while back for some browser games and forgot to disable it. Caused a bunch of weird "memory" related problems, like idle programs crashing over night and random crashes for both browser and other programs saying "Ran out of memory" even if memory usage doesn't exceed 50-60%.
Just a bunch of weird issues really. Thought something was going bad with my PC until I turned it back off.

This reminds me, what's the current max level? I know it goes up by 5 every chapter, but we're still in chapter 1.
I can't remember if the level related achievements are possible without cheats or not.
