To be fair, you do get to a certain age where it's difficult to establish and maintain romantic (and platonic) relationships due to an increased awareness of your flaws and the flaws of others - specifically me trying not to repeat my history of being possessive, and by not giving too many chances to people who don't seem trustworthy after multiple instances of being true to their words. And as for romance specifically, social media and hook up culture have made finding love even more complicated due to what I perceive as an increase in cynicism towards romance (even outside of the incel community), and that more people have gotten in the habit of question another persons ulterior motivations in regard to relationships.

I'm basically saying that, as a guy who prefers women, that women actually are scary, and I imagine that men are scary for other men, women, trans people, and so on and so forth, and that there's nothing wrong with feeling that way at times.
