There is a loss at the core demographic and you know it, the dev time and money invested on that would eat away at the development of the game as it was sold.
I support them on patreon, and i promise you i would question that if suddenly instead of getting more art and content for the girls i would have to found content that neither me nor the main demographic playing this have no interest on.
If they want to do it after the game has been fully developed, then sure, they are free to do so, but not while we have been waiting patiently all this time.
I... don't know it. It's why I asked for some clarification. What would that loss be? How would it be sudden if you're already being informed of the possibility? Especially as Boots said "later down the line". When, I would assume, they would have the main game practically done and/or got more money to cover both without losing dev time. Money they could get from the other demographics, so it wouldn't even be your portion of the funds going to more fleshed out males. If they know what their version of a breeding kink would be, they could raise that cash real quick.
Granted, this whole topic should be taken with a brick-sized grain of salt. It's all too early to know how the writers conclude they should or could aproach this.
also, this directly would contradict the cool factor of TNH sticking to the characters as written in the comics, because none of the male members of the team around in the game are gay.
That just means more for the FemNull players. they'd get their pick of the women too as a few had heavy subtext of being bi or lesbian (looking at you, Kitty x Illyana). Though, I heard Claremont also wanted to make both Storm and Wolverine bi.
When asked about Logan and Ogun from the Kitty Pryde and Wolverine limited series, he replied "The man's over 200. Don't you think he's tried it at least once?"
He got to be more explicit with Storm.
She and Calisto lived together in a house in San Fransisco, where there was a secret lair, with a girls only hot tub. Said lair, you got to by going through the closet. Don't think Claremont was trying to be subtle here.
And then there's the Juggernaut x Black Tom and Pyro x Avalanche vibes I've heard rubblings of. Back then you had to have even more subtext for the men then the women.
Thats not how it works.
If we arent getting Karma because shes a lesbian, wich i can totally agree with, you dont get to mindrape Kurt into being gay with Jeans gay beams, those are double standards.
If we can "break canon" to have it that Kitty doesn't pursue her chrome-plated peter and unsubmerge her text with Illyana, why can't we permit the same with the menfolk?
