And this dev already rushed out the new update, and now he's trying to turn it into a worthwhile one, instead of the buggy unfinished mess that he had to rush out to meet a self-imposed deadline.I don't know, no man's sky and cp2077 made a huge comeback after rushing them out, it always really just depends on how well the devs keep with it imo.
True enough, but there's always exceptions you can point to that can be used to refute any rule, doesn't make it any less valid as a general rule of thumb.I don't know, no man's sky and cp2077 made a huge comeback after rushing them out, it always really just depends on how well the devs keep with it imo.
I don't know if I would describe that as an update rushed out to meet a deadline, more of a "Here's what I've been working on since it's been a while" thing. Sure he set a deadline for himself, but it seems like it was more just to give the upper-tier patrons something to look at while also letting everyone know that progress is still being made. Basically, it's been a long time since the last update, so he released that one as a progress report showing off what he's been doing for the last 4 months so people don't get antsy. And this dev already rushed out the new update, and now he's trying to turn it into a worthwhile one, instead of the buggy unfinished mess that he had to rush out to meet a self-imposed deadline.
But it was rushed out to meet a deadline. Yes, the reason was because people got antsy, and the dev chose to set a deadline of his own volition, but the deadline was set, and the update was rushed out in an unfinished state. The dev absolutely could choose to continue working on the update without throwing a bone to people whose reaction to delays is to screech "he's milking the patrons, reee", but he didn't, which is very respectable, I think.I don't know if I would describe that as an update rushed out to meet a deadline, more of a "Here's what I've been working on since it's been a while" thing. I definitely agree with you, I just don't know if the update was rushed out or if it was just a case of "I'll put out whatever I have at this point". We agree fully on the main points, we just have differing opinions on the end result. Basically we're just debating personal perception and definitions at this point, which is mostly pointless. But it was rushed out to meet a deadline. But the end result is, I reiterate once again: an update that was rushed out in an unfinished state to meet a deadline.
Honestly, I was debating on writing a postcript saying something along the lines of "sorry if my post sounds angry", so I'm glad that, in the end, it was unnecessary.I definitely agree with you, I just don't know if the update was rushed out or if it was just a case of "I'll put out whatever I have at this point". Either way, since you're not being a dick about it I hope you have a great day! Being decently chill is a surprisingly rare thing to come across sometimes, I wish there were more people who can argue a point like this, without resorting to name calling and general insanity. I may disagree with your take, but I respect you as a person for being sane.
"A rough draft is better than no draft at all." He may be making meaningful progress, but what does that progress mean if it is not shared? It is a conflict between the need for patience and the desire for understanding."A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad".
I've come to really dislike that quote since it's wildly inaccurate and used whenever anything is delayed at all"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad".
Other than going into dungeons and watching her scenes with her master there's nothing else to do atm. In the latest version you can also spy through the keyhole to get a glimpse of stuff she might be doing.Ngl, I don't understand a bit hahaha i've been exploring dungeons a while, dying and completing them at equal parts. When do the other options open?
so when are we going to enjoy those scenes /....... i meant those (AAAARRRRTTTTTSSSS))))Other than going into dungeons and watching her scenes with her master there's nothing else to do atm. In the latest version you can also spy through the keyhole to get a glimpse of stuff she might be doing.
It's not an inaccurate phrase if you understand its meaning. It's not absolute, but a possibility. While not every game will become great after several delays, some will.I've come to really dislike that quote since it's wildly inaccurate and used whenever anything is delayed at all
