One idea could be a game about Ashley during the two year period Shepard was dead. Getting sent around the universe by the Alliance getting fucked by human, alien and.... others, as she and whatever you decide she has for a team try to investigate and establish some sort of safe zone for fledgling human colonies. Or visit already built colonies and help them with whatever is bothering them. Basically continuing what they were doing during the first game but things don't go as cleanly without Shepard and the crew.

i think something to do with liara would be good as asari live alot longer so you could either go forward in time and have the opportunity to expand on the mass effect universe or could go back to like prothean timeline. Or maybe another idea would be to do a story about Miranda and Cerberus that way we could see that character in a different way and either have the story evolve to where she becomes a good guy but have content to start with where you play the villain would be something different and unique.
