Played the game, posted a review. Phew... Not my game, but I will acknowledge the developer put a lot of work into this game. If rape, domination and/or gaslighting is your kink, you should definitely play this. It's definitely at least a 6/10. Graphics are pretty good, story is varied in most parts (although it always is a form of submission or rape) and the dev really made an effort to flesh out what feels like an absolute porn story.

Personally I would have loved the game to have a much darker tone to match the subject matter. Stan being a egotistical narcissist sex offender who loves imposing and beating his victims, shouldn't back down so easily because of his feelings of 'being admired'. Things would get far more gory, even though it wouldn't be wise to 'leave traces'. By that porn logic the men were fucked the moment they entered the house. Whenever a murder occurs, it's swiftly done to go on with the story. There's no emotional connection and the story might just as well have written out a character by saying 'and then this person vanished into thin air'. Not saying it's bad story writing, I just think the dev actively avoided it.

There was so much potential for getting mob tactics involved, really driving home the nature of what rape does to a person, what coping mechanism slaves create in order to make their situation survivable, etc. I respect the dev's decision for choosing not to. But trying to stay somewhat light-hearted didn't do the story justice. There is one storyline where eventually feeding into Stan's ego turns him egomaniac and his idea of a lover turns into a master-slave relationship. The story totally derails from 'we need to escape' into 'this will become my slave harem' without even one hint of psychological descent in Stan's mind. Missed opportunities, but by no means is it a bad game.

I think I've already talked about this before, but just to give a final clarification:

The HQ version, contrary to some claims, was never made up of .png files. I have stopped using png's for releases pretty early on in development. Instead, it was the original pngs converted to webp files, using a lossless conversion. This shaved off about 20-30% of the original size.

The lossy version (which is now the only PC and Mac version available on itchio) on the other hand, was the original pngs converted to webp's and the compressed at 100% quality settings. This shaved off about 60-70% of the og size.

Now, personally, I never saw much difference in picture quality between these two. After all, the lossy version was still compressed at max quality settings, so there really wasn't any downgrading or artifacting going on, not even in darker scenes (which tended to visibly suffer from those issues in the much more compressed android version). So at some point, when it began to get really big, I actually floated the idea of retiring the HQ version to my supporters. But some of them wanted to keep it around, so I said "whatever, it's only minimal extra hassle" and kept it.

However, for the final version, that's now on itchio, I saw no reason to keep the HQ around, when the lossy version is pretty much the same quality.
Downloaded part 1 apk and created an app just fine. Tried doing it part 2, got a message "App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package". Do I need to do something different. I've downloaded other 2-part games on Android and never had a problem.

You may have to deinstall part 1, before installing part 2. When I first checked the files on my tablet, before uploading them, there was no problem. But after reading your post, I just did check the files on my phone, and part 2 did indeed not work after I had installed part 1 first. However, deinstalling part 1 fixed the issue.
So reverse order installation, got it. Thanks.

Tried reverse installation order as suggested. First message asked permission to upgrade app. Once confirmed, got a second message soon after, "App not installed as package appears to be invalid." Any other suggestions?

Again, after you've played part 1, uninstall it and then proceed to install part 2. For some reason, some versions of android can't deal with both parts being present on your device and will only recognize one of them.
that'd be good question for google company not search engine.

I really enjoyed the game but the dev was only pulling in like $600 a month. I doubt he's going to put anymore time into it. Frankly I'm shocked he stuck with it and finished the story. Most first time devs quit when they find out they arn't getting 5k a month within a year.

TPoNR is done and the chance that I will work on extra content is extremely slim. I have other projects and a job, there's no free-time left to work on additional content for a story that is finished and only appeals to a niche audience.
I don't consider animating existing Scenes as extra Content but Improving a finished Game.

Hardware updates:
Not a pressing issue, but something that I need to address at some point since future versions of the game will include bigger scenes and also animations.

It is extra content that I would have to produce, which I don't have the time for. Also, that quote was something that I've written over 4 years ago, with the naive hope that TPoNR would surely be making enough money at some point to pay for a hardware upgrade. But I never did make that kind of money and my only hardware update ended up swapping out a broken 1080ti for a 3060 last year, which pretty much provided the same performance.
Mhh i see, that's unfortunate but understandable & you're right in some Aspect it could be considered extra Content - thanks for taking your time to response.

What's the difference btw Regular and Director's cut, apart from the size?
The walkthrough applies also for the DC version?
