Dude, you and I were talking almost 5 years ago about how this dev keeps missing deadlines and saying he'll try better. It's truly a hellish existence being a fan of this game.

I think you're underestimating this forum's impact on things. It's likely some of the widest reaching 'advertisement' an 18+ game is going to get.

Eh if he cared about money from this game, or thought it was even possible to get more money he'd behave differently.

I think he has more or less surrendered to the fact he has ruined his own reputation and therefore become even less motivated.

He wouldn't have garnered a bad rep if he doesn't take an entire year fixing glitches and add only a single sex scene now, would he? Not even a continuation of the storyline, sheesh.

Like, I get that the dev is on his own with probably no prior experience when it comes to RPGM games. But if he's troubled with its development (especially considering how buggy RPGM is sometimes) or even burnt out, he should've told everyone instead of leaving people completely in the dark for months on end. At the very least, leave a way of communication like a Discord or something so we know he hasn't gone the way of a certain cum goblet consumer.

But regardless "solo and first time" aren't an excuse, RPGM is easy enough that everyone I have ever seen has performed better in the same situation.

Case and point, even this dev himself has. He used to pump out big updates regularly. Started taking longer to make less.
This got worse and worse. He did a combination of banning people for noticing while profusely apologizing and promising to do better.

Nothing came of it. He really should just get an adderall prescription or pause the Patreon.
14 months for a non-porn update to a porn game after promising monthly updates for the 5th time is actual insanity.

The power trip afforded to people by allowing them to ban customers from speaking freely really is a mistake. He's only hurting himself by making his singular rpgmaker game take his entire life by removing any incentive to work faster.

Because the requirements for a game to be considered abandoned are quite generous and it got a minor update shortly after it last qualified for the abandoned tag. I'm a bit hazy, so I could be mistaken, but IIRC it's actually the second time that happened for this game.

It also depends a lot on a moderator noticing / getting a report to label it as abandoned.
