I agree; Lois is the best. I prefer treating her right and taking her to sex clubs, but I'm not particularly fond of whoring her out. I do like Kari, but not as much.I was a bit late to this game (and only to this site recently), so I may have already missed something like this...
...but if it hasn't been done already, I would be interested in a poll like the one at the top but surveying people's preferred LI's.

The game was originally The Kari Show: The story of her and the MC was the central plank in the early versions, so it's unsurprising that she still takes centre stage quite often. Lois only grew into a major character gradually. See e.g. this old comment for the dev's intentions (as they were a few years ago):I was a bit late to this game (and only to this site recently), so I may have already missed something like this...

Other than that, you're confusing kinks with feelings. A D/s relationship can easily be (and, to be healthy, must be) built on mutual respect. Of course it doesn't have to be if you just want to play the MC as an abusive arsehole. Which is fine as well, none of this is real.So I'll be as clear as I can be, Kari is supposed to be the nicest, sweetest girl you could ever hope to meet. She's just struggling to adapt to a world she's ill-prepared for. If you don't care for that, it's okay, but she was always intended to be the central love interest, it was only after my coming in here (F95) that I started to consider alternative paths.

Lois is clearly growing on people, me included. She just seemed to come into being with little to no effort on my part. It occurs to me now that she's kind of a Pepper Potts character - happy to flirt with MC but knowing he's got other girls in his life. I will say that if anything does happen with Lois, it will be over an extended period. She is one of the characters I would like to discuss with someone that's willing to risk a little bit of a spoiler in exchange for the feedback I'm looking for.
Agree to disagree there. While it certainly "can" be, the vast majority of that kind of content I have seen browsing through porn & porn games is most definitely not about healthy relationships in the least, and that's a turn off to me although the Law of Supply and Demand clearly indicates that I'm admittedly in the minority. As for this game specifically, I am not interested in those arcs, so I could be competely wrong about how it is done here and it may be healthy as you say.A D/s relationship can easily be (and, to be healthy, must be) built on mutual respect.

This note should be unnecessary, but porn != real life, the perspective I believe gregers is speaking from.Agree to disagree there. As noted previously, togs had not originally intended for Lois as primary girlfriend to be an option. While he has changed his plans to cover that (at least to some extent), he hasn't begun actively building that aspect of the story (to the best of my understanding). This is why the walk-throughs people build seem to push the player towards slut/sub/slave content - because girlfriend content doesn't presently exist.I like Lois AND Kari. I'm a bit disappointed that there seems to be more sex scenes on the BDSM or Whoring paths with Lois than the girlfriend path, but it's togs' game to make and I still enjoy it regardless.

Well, since it's confirmed that Lois will be moving in with the MC and Kari soon, once that happens I feel like the girlfriend path will start ramping up hard, since they'll finally be close together outside of the workplace. (where they still have to be somewhat discreet)As noted previously, togs had not originally intended for Lois as primary girlfriend to be an option. This note should be unnecessary, but porn != real life is not an explanation for dumb comments. Jeezus. I talked about porn and porn games, and you still are still just repeating the same irrelevant mantra? Who said anything about real life when talking about PORN AND PORN GAMES?? Reading comprehension ain't what it used to be.This note should be unnecessary, but porn != real life, the perspective I believe gregers is speaking from.
Uh, you just made my point for me. What I said was that in porn & porn games the setup is rarely about healthy relationships and is instead typically an abusive scenario. So of what relevance is IRL?? We are talking about D/s in porn games. So your note is unnecessary...unless you intended to reiterate what I was already saying. This note should be unnecessary, but porn != real life, the perspective I believe gregers is speaking from.
That is a hot iron, since its a topic what is highly subjective. and also something what has its roots in real life.Uh, you just made my point for me. In games most people who don't enjoy misogyny avoid those kinds of tags because misogyny is typically what you get IN GAMES. Not IRL, but in games. Hope that clears things up for you?
Yup...That is a hot iron, since its a topic what is highly subjective. and also something what has its roots in real life.
Yes, your point is from my point of view valid, in most games it is portrayed as abusive, and only a very few games convey what it takes and the responsability to the Dominant part.
and like it or not these games are an extension of your fantasie, so the whish and the idea is pretty much real it exists withing our heads.
If you have convos with users which are IRL in such comunitys or live out this fantasie with their partners, it will show you another point of view, nobody is atacking you by the way, he is saying that to even roleplay there must be a solid base of Trust and mutual respect.
this is hard to see for someone from the outside, I think togs did his research and presented it quite close to the reality, with the necesary abstraction.
this is my point of view you may have yours it is valid as well.

This exchange began with you drawing real life inferences from people's preferences in a porn game:Uh, you just made my point for me. Kind of suprised more people want to treat Lois poorly than want to treat her with respect. Although she is by far the most intelligent & capable LI so I guess she is the kind of woman that intimidates insecure men and makes them feel like they want to push her down. So I don't agree with it, but I suppose I understand it.
That's really useful - I'll check those before the next build. It's been a long time since I last checked this one out...
Anyway, here's a few issues I've noticed, most of which are just a single line that doesn't fit with choices I made. The way to find inconsistencies: Say no to everybody.
- On day 19, Lois will thank MC for her present, even if you didn't get her one (only wishlisted it).
- During the karaoke thing on day 61, Kari calls MC her boyfriend while talking to Maddie (though this might be down to her being territorial despite them being just roommates, or maybe she's just drunk already?)
- Shortly after, MC thinks to himself, "This is a side of Kari I've never seen outside the bedroom", even if he's never shared a bed with her.
- The morning of day 67 starts with a short exchange between Kari and MC, starting with Kari saying, "You were incredible last night!", while showing MC waking up alone on the couch like every day.
- And later on day 67, Kiki says, "I thought after yesterday we should clear the air.", although all that happened is her and Lois taking their jackets off.
- Also on day 67, after Sylvie tells MC that the reason for Lois' surgery was a lump, and not anything he said to her, he somehow still feels "an enormous sense of guilt" and wishes he'd never said anything.
- This one is a bit weird. On day 58, after MC brings up Greenfield's suggestion about taking out her implants, there's a line Lois says that seems to start the same way regardless of her relationship with MC, and then appends something relationship-dependent. That line came out during my playthrough as, "I love working for you195." I don't know where the 195 came from, but I guess nothing really gets appended if you have a strictly professional relationship with her, and the 195 is just leftovers from a previous thing?
- For a few days, staring I think on day 65, there's an orphaned "Good morning" line as MC greets the reception girls. Specifically, MC greets Aria (the first he greets), and before Aria replies with "Good morning, Mr. (lastname).", that same line comes from nobody.
Finally, this is a somewhat bigger point. Ashley. If you only ever leave her a small tip when you go to the café, you never even learn her name. But independent from that, MC and Lois talk about her on day 25, and she gets roped into sitting in on those meetings with Randy's victims. And if you go order a coffee from her after that, she still won't know your name, until you start giving her bigger tips and they introduce themselves to each other.
I believe that's everything I found. I'll be sure to give it another read when it's completed.
Totally fair. I have no knowledge of this sort of thing IRL - only what I have come across in games and porn in general, with games typically written as (at best) dancing on the edges of abusive, and porn way past the edges nowadays (James Deen, Rocco Siffredi, etc.). So my IRL perspective may certainly be negatively influenced by all that, and folks that are into that may very well be just extending as fantasy into areas they would never go IRL. Thank you for calmly pointing out the distinction to an argumentative clown like myself. That is a hot iron, since its a topic what is highly subjective. and also something what has its roots in real life.
