Well, considering my saves broke with every updates, you bet I replayed it quite a number of times... against my will that is.

Jokes aside, I really hope he at least used this opportunity to clean up his variables. Otherwise making the 2nd part a completely new build would serve little purpose.

There's another bugfix build of part 1 (that also automatically generates a savefile to ingest in to part 2 when you finish) and a part 2 beta that is more or less one day of content (with one missable sex scene for Kari in sub/slave mode and that's about it).

I'm making good progress on the next release of The Roommate: Revelations but life is fairly quiet right now so it's a really good time to let me know if you had any issues bringing a save from the old game into the new one. I'd like to get any issues resolved sooner rather than later and get things moving!

Edit: Traceback files and/or save files from the previous game would really help if anyone has the time and inclination to help!

I noticed in the script for part 1 there's a scene on day 61 where you use the computer to imagine Lois with bigger tits, but it requires her having the lactomax flag which doesn't seem to be possible to set until day 64. Is this an oversight or am I missing a way to see the scene?

I really meant to do a new Christmas item this year, but Christmas snuck up on me way too fast. I think that's one of the problems with living in California; it doesn't feel "Christmassy"...

It's really unfortunate, but the save transfer system between the two seasons is broken for me. Either I try to load a save from the 12.17 build and it jumps back to the main menu or I start a new game and still get the adv character bug. I saved at both the last real image and text with the mc and Kari in bed and the giant white Revelations text before it jumps back to the menu. Starting a new game without my save data is something I would really prefer not to have to do. I can use a future Joker mod and the 0x52 URM tools to set all of my information as it is in the first season as a last resort, but I would prefer not to. Hopefully these alpha versions of Revelations are cleaned up to fix this because I am very invested in seeing where the story I have based on my choices goes.

I also just got attribute in game/script.rpy line 499 when trying to load a previous save when starting a new game. It says Attribute Error: NoneType object has no attribute load. Then it gives me a game/calendar.rpy error line 150 in <module>. Index error: list assignment index out of range.

There is also no receptionist and the image is completely missing. I get an error from that as well.

I don't currently have access to The Roommate: Inheritance Build 1217 - PC, so I wouldn't know how to go about fixing those problems. But, in your opinion, do you think that these problems will necessitate togs making another update to The Roommate: Inheritance in the near future to fix it?

togs should release the latest Inheritance build here to avoid future coding problems...

togs gave the impression that there will continue to be bugfix releases as people identify more issues (there's been a lot of problems with the wrong receptionists showing up in events for some people) but it's definitely complicated by the fact that some people use walkthroughs that create bad saves in the current versions (whether it's Joker's or the Universal Renpy mod) or make choices you shouldn't technically be allowed to make. Using walkthroughs on incomplete games should always come with a "use at your own risk" warning.

In any case, I've run through 12.17 twice now from scratch, taken two drastically different paths, gotten to the end without issue and have been able to import the saves into the first revision of Revelations. I was getting the ADVCharacter bug previously so it looks like that may have been addressed.

Yeah, this game more than any I've ever played has tons of issues if you use any kind of mod. Just wrecks all saves. Even when I have a save that uses no mods at all, its a dice roll whether I'll be able to pick up and keep playing with the next release.

The image is from the upcoming build of Revelations. Obviously, Kari and Lois may or may not wear the chokers, depending on your relationship with them. You'll also only see the mug in the foreground if you dallied with Kayla back on the Fourth of July...
