I really appreciate the kindness and support in the previous thread and DMs. I'm fully committed to the game and hoping to get the next build out ASAP.
I do want to share a few thoughts, though...
It's still my intention to divide the game into two parts at the three-month mark (in the game). At the same time, I want to continue moving things forward so I'm putting that on the back burner for now. Nevertheless, the subtitle for part two, 'Revelations' is not just hyperbole, as you'll see in the not too distant future, and I'm confident you'll enjoy what I have in store for you all.
It's been four years since I started what I've previously described as 'my first game' and I'm increasingly inclined to think there's unlikely to be a second, unless you count the planned division of the game into parts. The Roommate was always meant to be open-ended, a continuing story. There are story arcs that will come to a conclusion, of course, but there are others, long-planned, yet to be explored.
Finally, I do want to reiterate that animation is the thing I find hardest. I'd like to think if I can make the game available on steam that the additional income might cover the cost of getting some help with that side of things. I know some pretty good animators and I'd be a lot more comfortable asking them to give me a break than asking them to work for free!
I'm sure the moment I post this I'll remember something else I wanted to share, so be on the lookout for edits!
Thank you all again!
