It has been so long at this point I might go back and play from the start just so I remember what is going on when ever the next build is finally released.
I just had an error reported on the ch80.rpy to do with payments to Kari.
Is this fatal if I ignore it and continue?

"Apart from the new content that simply cover the events of the day, it also incorporates a new mechanism which is part of a wider plan to tailor the game to people's individual tastes.
Up until now, there was a simple "Vanilla/Kinky" option at the start of the game, but a new game would give a wider range of ranging options from none (0) to extreme (3).
Loading a pre-existing game that doesn't already have a custom level will default to Moderate (level 2).
You can override this by hitting Escape, selecting "Enter a code" then entering "Fetishes" as previously described. You'll be prompted to enter the new level and you should save."
Aside from that I think it was used as like a debug option from the dev.
what level do you use? not a big fan of sharing or anything involving another guy
You can put the kinkiest setting and you don't have to share, everything can be changed in the last minute, but it would be better to choose in the starting if you don't like it.
Now I remembered that even at level 0 you can share but it is avoidable, I'm going to put it at level 3 to see if I can avoid it
and another game error, what is up with this game? This one is very weird as I can't even see a 'ch85.rpy' in the folder...in fact no 84, 85 or 86 in fact in the original game folder in the zip there are no rpy files at all - do they get created when you start playing?

seems you have some bugs in this WT. I'm assuming here that your WT generates a whole bunch of rpy and rpyc files? as the original game folder I have has none in it (and I checked the zip file). I do however see that this is 12.05 and I'm playing 12.08, but there was an earlier error as well to do with Kari's wages/pay, that was in ch80.rpy

Ren'py games are typically packed. The .rpy, .rpyc and all the image files are in archives that end with .rpa. The game uses the archives on-the-fly. There are utilities that let you unpack them if you want.

You've answered your own question there. Mod is out of date, probably won't be updated until there's a new official release.
ok, thanks, that sort of explains it, the weird this is that the ch85.rpy isn't even in the game folder when it's telling me there's a problem....or is that the games way of telling me the file doesn't exist?
trouble is that I have no way to know where the cutoff is for the two versions. The fact that the ch80.rpy is there but has an error (report earlier but had no response) and the ch85.rpy is not there but I had the same sort of errors is still worrying. I think it's best for me to save any further possible issues and consider this done at this point and come back in a year or so (after doing all the other games I have on the go) and hope things are better.

No, there's a lot of individual .rpy files in the scripts.rpa archive. The game engine opens the archive and treats its contents as being in the same directory. The game reports the individual file it is having a problem with for debugging purposes. You can use unren.bat or un.rpy to extract all the files if you want to take a look. Both tools are on the site.
