Not to mention the fact that the dev would have to render every Lois scene many times. We'll probably get biggest tits Lois and that's it.
The game already uses a lot of composite images, with one image as base and a number of overlays depending on e.g. piercings and collars. I expect the dev is planning to do the same for breast size, but imagine that that will be a more complicated task than just adding in a piece of jewelry.

Things are (once again) running a little behind schedule - we're experiencing record temperatures here in "The Valley" (NW of Los Angeles) and rendering in the afternoons is out of the question, the AC just can't keep up (I know, first world problem).

Links to the beta build finally went out this evening. Don't worry if you're not included in this round, I mixed things up a little to get a cross-section of responses and there will almost certainly be further rounds of testing.

If you are in the current group, PLEASE don't discuss things here, send me a DM.

A broader release will be coming as soon as I get caught up on the rendering!

he could be smart and making overlay images just for the different boob sizes.
would still need to render each scene on his end and then crop to where changes are relevant, but the game size for us would be only slightly larger even with all the different combinations.

I've played other games where there are different breast and even body proportions for a variety of characters. It absolutely does add to the file size, but doing so for just one girl shouldn't be that huge of a barrier, IMO.

Note: I will probably drop this game at some point, the Dev is always adding or removing something to the game, and it's always a lot of work to update the game, and since the dev is always changing the scripts, the saves break, and then I get the blame.

The Roommate (latterly subtitled "Inheritance") was my first attempt at a visual novel. It was a huge learning experience and there were plenty of mistakes and missteps along the way, necessitating various fixes to avoid breaking saved games. I've also pissed a significant number of people off at times and I've been working to move some of the more contentious content into a free "DLC" that I plan to make available to those that want it.

It's also an ongoing story, and by definition never "complete" so the game inevitably grows with each build. Switching from PNG to WEBP helped but after a lot of thought, I decided to end the current game at the end of the first three months of game time and transition to a sequel or continuation game. Episode 2, if you will.

It gives me a chance at something of a fresh start, incorporating the lessons learned from the first game. I also plan to polish the original with a view to releasing it on Steam and there will be further builds made available as things go forward.

My main focus, however, will be on "Revelations", the next phase of The Roommate saga. There are a number of unresolved plot threads to be further explored and resolved, others that have only been hinted at and a lot more besides.

The primary audience for the game is me - it's a labour of love and I replay it endlessly, often finding myself tweaking dialogue that's been in place for years - I know my ''ongoing improvements" are a thorn in the side of modders, not that I'm losing any sleep over that!

Having said that, it's nice to know that so many of you are passionate about the game and I do listen to and act on feedback, even if it's not always as quickly as I'd like.

So come along for the ride as we press onward, I promise it won't be boring!
