Hello everyone.
This is the first development status of the first chapter and in it I'll talk a bit about what I'm working on.
Lately I've been working on the design of the main characters. I've changed their body shapes, changed some of their face shapes, but left them recognizable. Since I had pre-made character concepts that were going to appear in the TSOB sequel I decided to scrap them except for a few. I'll have plenty of time to think about their looks and body shapes. I will upload a preview to discord next week, it will show the opening scene of the game.
At the moment I'm working on the design of the common house and Ashley and Laura's rooms, Vee's room will be the last thing I do.
Also working on the main menu, gallery and some of the features I described in the last post. I'll show the menu concept in the next status, when the menu looks more or less worked out.
I still have the music library from TSOB, so I will be able to use some songs from there, and I will also borrow some sounds, but not all of them. At the moment I have one full scene of 38 renders done and I'm in the process of designing and posing the second one, hopefully I'll be able to finish it in the next two days.
The transportation of the main characters will be changed as well, in this status I will show it. I will probably change the color of the cars, but for now it looks like this. The third car I will show in discord a little later.
Who do you think is driving the black Honda?

Hello everyone.
I want to show Amanda's redesign, in this version she will appear much earlier than in TSOB. Now she has a nicer appearance than she was, improved skin, which will be clearly visible in close-up shots.
I will post renders of her figure a little later for paid subscribers of the 18+ version.

It's good except for the eye color and the skin color change. I prefer her with blue eyes and white skin.

Hello everyone.
I've been thinking for a long time about what previews to show in this log, for all the images are very similar to each other, while those that are not similar may carry spoilers.
Let's talk a little about the first episode. For the reason that the beginning of the game in TSOB implied that the main characters are familiar with each other it was quite difficult to convey their level of relationship between them and move the story forward. Now I'm working on just that so that players have an understanding of how the characters relate to each other, but their pasts will be hidden and revealed as you act out a situation. I'm still undecided on where to end the first episode, as every time I finish a scene I have an overwhelming urge to add something else that wasn't in the original version of the script. Perhaps it's because I'm working on the design of the new girls in parallel and I immediately want to add them to the episode instead of delaying their appearance. Gotta do something about that
At the moment I have 6 scenes completely finished (unprocessed) that contain 275 images. One of them I will probably add to it, as it looks short and I can fit more text and images in there.
The question of the cars remains open, as well as the music. I don't plan to release the first episode on Steam until I have a chance to do so from my country. Finding ways around sanctions and such will take a long time, so for now we're getting high on music with copyrights and licensed cars.
There are a number of other problems I would like to talk about, but we won't talk about that today and hopefully by my next post those problems will be gone.

Yeah I'd definitely wait. Some of the issues that people had with the flow of the story in the first version are being addressed and some of the characters are getting upgraded looks too. (for the better IMO from what I've seen).

Hello everyone.
It's been a little over a month between this and the previous development status, so it's time to share some news. A while back I was on vacation for two weeks and allowed myself a break from everything, so I didn't do any posing or writing, but created a build of the game and went through what was ready at the time. Spaced out sounds, music, fixed typos and looked at the game as a whole and what's working out in general.
I have a lot of real life stuff to do in April that can't wait or be put off for a while, so I'm going to keep working on the game at a medium pace so I don't create the visuals hastily (after which I usually redo everything).
Right now I have 470 images finished and I can't tell you exactly how many are left. I want to saturate the episode as much as possible with different events, but I realize that I still won't be able to show everything I'd like to. It would be great to get within 1000 images for the first episode and about 1-2 hours of reading time. What I tested on vacation took about 30 minutes of reading, but I don't remember the number of images in that build. We'll do without previews this time, but I'll show you a couple renders from a test scene (not sure if it will be in the game, but who knows...).

Hi.
There's not much news, but there is. I'm starting to work on one of the biggest scenes in the update, which will move us towards the end of the episode. From a technical point of view, it will be quite difficult to implement, and I may have to devote a lot more time to it than I thought. This is not the first time this has happened, especially when you move on to work after the planning stage. But that's okay, it's okay. I'm sure we can handle it.
As for the work done, the processing of all the finished images has been completed, all work on the code has been completed at the moment, and there is also a demo ready that can be completed. One person has already played all the available content at the moment and nothing but positive emotions has arisen, so this is encouraging. There are several issues that need to be addressed, but I'm currently focused on rendering. Here are some of them:
● Transitions between scenes are not implemented.
● Sound effects are not added in all places where they are required.
● The issue of adding music with copyrights is still open.
● The work on the "game settings" has not been completed to the end. (the visual part).
● There is no communication system between characters (not a phone).
As for the phone in the game, I do not plan to develop it until my programming knowledge is at the level of "make a multifunctional phone for the game in a couple of hours? Hold my beer." I understand that this is a cool feature and you can add a lot of interesting things to the game with it, but I just don't have the time for it physically.
Otherwise, everything seems to be going well. I'll need to take a few days off from development in the next couple of days, so the game will take a break from me for now, and I'll take a break from it.
And, one more thing - the total number of ready-made renderers is now 786, there are about 40-45 in the queue. It currently takes about 1h10min to render a single image, as the scene is very busy and I can't render around the clock, since I have only one PC. If I do something else in parallel with rendering, for example, code or go through an update once again to search for errors, my Ryzen heats up to such temperatures that thermal paste has to smear not only the processor, but also my legs, and outside the window, by the way, 25-30 degrees celsius.
