Ren'Py - The Secret: Ghosted & Thrilled [v0.4.9.5.2] [Aorrta]

i played one of the older versions of this game and wasnt really impressed. the cg was always great but the content was meh. in this remake i like the direction the game game is headed. i like the story and im looking forward to where he takes us. one negative for me is the transitions animations. they are not needed. they look great but the game doesnt need them.

This is sad, I don't know where to start, there are so many things wrong with this recreation.
I loved the original game, I rated it 5 stars and I still don't know why it was rated so low.(that was before the developer went missing)

I have no idea why the creator decided that they want to recreate the game completely and in the end it made no big difference at all, the game is played in the exact same way as the old one...
The only problem that people had with the old game was that there was a lot of grinding involved, though I disagreed with the general consensus, that seemed to be the main issue that everyone were talking about.

So yeah, the visuals in the game which were incredible in the old one already have been improved a lot and are extremely impressive and satisfying, but that wasn't what people had issues with to begin with...
Moreover, now the game is written extremely bad, the English is terrible even though the general idea of the plot is about the same as the other one..

And of course the cherry on top is that the developer went missing for like 2 years before releasing this..?(correct me if I'm wrong I didn't check)

I got no clue why the developer decided to drop the other game, maybe it was the score I don't know, but it seems like they learned nothing and just made a shadow of the old game.
The only reason I'm giving it 3 is because of the great flashy animations and the amazing renders, the developer is incredibly talented and in my opinion has the best visuals in any game of this genre, it is incredibly disappointing that they fucked it up so badly.

the game is very good, as it was the first development (the non-reloaded) unfairly interrupted months ago.
the scenes are well done and there's a good variation between characters.
mom is very...effective...
the only bad notes are referred to a sometimes frustrating playgame (like the part where you have to put all the objects in the house or when you have to go around the office).
an excessive quantity of characters, both male and female (not to mention, the upcoming ones, like the sister), could represent in future a problem for the dev.

There's too much effort put on this game, too many details confirm that so the DEV seems to be really involved (was stunning the introduction at the very beginning, like the first credits on a movie). On the other hand, wants to do many things and makes mistakes: there's an abuse of CGs and animations between transitions; on the office, to going from point b to point c it sure needs too much clicking, being tedious at some point; awkward proportions on some girls (Brenda Oliver; she's taller toward the MC, so he looks like a hobbit).
Tons of girls offer nice renders, set them in a range between young women over the 20 years and cougars.
The game runs smoothly, without any bug or any prompted message that passes down clicking the 'IGNORE' tab.

The only good thing about this is the art, so just extract the CG and fap to them...
animations do nothing except to stroke the dev's ego.
there's not muc freeom in choices,
MC is a douche, and not the fun one.
the story became cliche.....
the previous version's sandbox was at least bearable... this one became "find the right place and use every action possible" to go to the next segment of sandbox.
I suspect all the months have been spent designing the game's UI, whoch is another pain in the ass. no rollback function, no skip unseen text (needed when the story is boring. and boring is the best adjective to describe this...
I downloaded this game to play an incest VN, not some hidden-objects point'n'click game

Very good graphics, nice and quite realistic character model, mom doesn't look too young like in other games.
I haven't played until end of this version, but looking good so far.
The rearrange mini-game is a bit boring i think.
I hope there is no NTR in this game, and that this game can be continued until finished, with constant updates.

Teetering between a 1 and a 2 for this game. As others have pointed out, the models and renders are pretty nice, and frankly, its the only thing it has going for it.

Its a shame really - with such attractive models, there's potential for the creator to hook up with a writer that can actually put together a bit of an original story that doesn't involve 12 YO Chad Thundercock nailing everything that moves just because, it could go a long way...

Game is worth enduring the long wait

I hadn't played the previous version of this game, so I had no notion of what it was about. There seemed to be some hype about it, so I thought: "why not?"

Well, this goes directly into the "meh" category. The only good thing I could say about it is that the renders are really good, and most character models are drop dead gorgeous.

It's about another teen creeper MC with a big schlong that lusts after his mother, and bangs all the chicks because reasons... It's porn, so I was not expecting Dickens anyway, but the Engrish makes it extra-painful.
The "story" revolves around a matchmaking agency MC's parents created, and of course all clients are female, and... MC gets to bang them (you guessed it didn't you? ).

The UI is simple, though there's no rollback. Navigation in freeroaming mode is straightforward but still a pain in the ass. Why not give us an overhead map of the apartment or office? Seriously, from street level to your office you have 7 or 8 steps to navigate...

There are animated transitions that will no doubt give epileptic seizures to some players. Watch at your own risk.

There is a "minigame" where you have to move furniture in all the rooms: boring and pointless. Why couldn't the movers deliver everything in each room? Oh, because it adds "content" and forces the player to stay on longer, I guess.

To sum up, except for the beautiful renders, this game can't compete with better, more recent games. Two years ago it would have seemed good, but now it's the same generic teen/mom incest story that's been done thousands of times.

Extract the CG and fap to the gals. That's about all there's to it.

This game is boring and has nothing interesting. If you played in Ep. 2 you haven't lost anything really. There is practically no new renderings, everything that was there is here. Boring plot no good animations no deeper relations with the main characters just a talk and at the end of the main path there are not even adequate sex scenes. Gring ahmmm no! thanks. Well, maybe positive (.....) NOTHING

Firstly, I had to say that I was a fan of the previous game. This reloaded version seems to be even much better. Even know, you will get some action and renders are amazing! Love your work and wish you all the best!
