The Seven Realms is sprawling and ambitious, with a diverse cast of characters, a wide world, and solid visuals. At times it can sprawl a bit too much, but overall it boasts considerably higher quality than most of what you'll find on this site.

There's a lot to like about this VN. It's technically strong: the visuals are good, the English is solid, and there's nothing to really criticize about the basic execution. The characters are generally believable and the lore and story are intriguing. The choices feel meaningful without feeling infeasible for the developer: they largely impact character attitudes without impacting major story outcomes (at least thus far). They keep the game moving forward while giving you the opportunity to define how the MC feels about various important actors, perhaps even letting him be tricked in some of the intrigue going on.

The plot itself is generally compelling, but suffers from how overpowered the main cast is. You're never in any real doubt as to the outcome of any given encounter, and most of the tension in the story lies in navigating the MC's relationships with other characters rather than the actual situations at play. While this still works alright, it feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. In particular, I can't help but feel like the MC isn't really developing: I'm instead just selecting options that reflect who he already was at the start of the story.

The writing is at times a bit sterile. While it isn't clumsy, awkward, or outright bad like you'll often run across in amateur products, it never really quite lands for me either. I grade all VNs on a curve since they're all fundamentally hobby projects, but there are some that still really get me turning the next page, laughing along, or super invested in some of the characters. The Seven Realms kept me interested enough to finish it, but never quite captured my imagination in the way that the occasional VN does.

While the main cast is strong, likeable, and interesting, the supporting cast at times leaves something to be desired. In particular, a large number of women are introduced largely for the purpose of variety in sex scenes, broadly classed as the harem by the dev (neither core love interests nor one-off flings). While I understand the basic goal of bringing variety without overloading the core character count, I think it goes a bit too far in the other direction: this side cast appears enough to imply they'll get more content, yet rarely actually does. Either moving a few to explicit one-time flings or spending more time with them would be welcome salves.

Overall it isn't perfect, but the Seven Realms stands out as one of the stronger titles on f95 right now, and is easily worth a try if you're looking for something new to check out.

Have just finished Realm 1, which I bought on Steam as a package with Realm 2.

Strengths:

1. Not many grammatical or spelling errors; a few slightly awkward usages suggest that the writers are not native English speakers, but it is pretty good nonetheless.
2. Thus far the narrative has been internally consistent in both tone and structure. You really do want to know what is going to happen.
3. Good (but not great) DAZ models (see below).
4. Original music.

Areas that could make the game better:

1. Editing to make the English more fluent and consistent with the character's back stories. Two-thousand-year-old characters calling each other "bro" and "dude" doesn't fit well with the tone one would expect in a story about supernatural realms.
2. The DAZ models could be improved a bit, especially Atlas and Leyala. The former is so muscle-bound as to look a bit grotesque, and the latter's lips look as if she has had cosmetic surgery.
3. There could be a bit more dramatic tension in the story. Thus far one doesn't really get any sense that things won't turn out OK.

I certainly don't regret the purchase, it is an enjoyable game. I hope that my minor criticisms become irrelevant as the dev or devs build their skills and experience.

Edit after completing Realm 2: The modelling and animation are certainly improving. In the first part the characters bodies didn't move completely in accordance with Newtonian physics! Now they are a lot better.

This is honestly quite amazing game. There were few parts that felt rushed, that's true, but overal very pleasurable experience. Graphics are great, and animations.. maybe not best I've ever seen, but definitelly close to it. Movements look very natural and it's very nice to look at.

Also this game is here for a little bit more than 1.5 years, yet amount of content is.. huge. After playing for a while I had this naggigng thought that it would be the end soon, yet the game keep going more and more. I wish more devs could deliver their products like this one.

I also encountered like 3 typos/mistakes in dialogues near the beginning and for a while there were images missing in sex scenes during Realm 2. Not whole scenes, but there was one single image missing before each animated one started. And in last part, one sex scene animation was wrongly connected to pose from the next scene? So I didn't see the last part of one of the scenes, as it jumped to Naya/Kali sex scene finale which happened like 5 minutes after. Even considering those few bugs I'm giving it 5 stars. But of course I do hope it'll get fixed

I really wanted to like this one, but the story just dident get to me, some things are just drawn out others are rushed and theres absolutly no relationship building or romances.

Just the hole idea of the very start where you meet a girl and bam your soulbound, you know nothing about the girl and your forced to be together forever, it could atleast have been a nice looking girl with firm tits but no it a young girl with milf face and saggy tits.....i wouldent have touched Leyala with a 10 ft pole given the option, so game got off on a really bad start for me but still pushed through hoping story would atleast be worth while.

For me there is just to much text with no real point to it, and the other girls was also just boring, even the 3 some with Leyala, Naya and Kali felt pointless, you meet them, then you fuck em......just like Layala its rushed and you never get to build any feelings for anyone.

It also dident help that game is made only for people with big tit fetish, i hate big tits so there really was nothing for me to like when it came to the girls, dont really get why some games dont make something for eveyone, insted of only focus on a single fetish.

Virgin scene was flat and boring as well, guess they just wanted the tag but failed at making a decent scene, it was like ill go slow, now its all in, cum, done, dident really feel special in any ways.

Some of it was pretty good but it just felt to rushed when it came to relationships and had no romance feeling what so ever, still giving it 3 since main plot was good.

Not much to say if you have big tit fetish this will be for you, if you dont then skip the game, also dident really like the faces since they all looks like milfs which i am not really a fan of but even as milfs they where not good.

Animations 3/5
Just about average, most are pretty short and boring, dident help that you never get a chance to build any feelings for the ones you fuck, making scene pointless.

Its ok standard background music that dosent really set in kind of moods, better then silent but nothing special.

Like that case early during the story in which the MC basically stupidly tell "i want to fuck your boobs" to Leyala like if he was a 15 years old teen with limited horny vocabulary.
... but MC is a several thousand years old creature .
That alone nearly took me out of the story from the cringe, a real shame because said story is interesting.

Top 5 best games ive ever played hands down. This is amazing and HIGHLY UNDERRATED. Amazing MC, Amazing characters and interesting love interests, goes deep in the lore too. The banter between the MC and the man LI is also amazingly done, had me smiling from ear to ear, theres real chemistry between them. The renders and animations are top tier as well, dont get me started on the cut scenes... 10\10 for me. I LOOOVE THIS GAME.

This might be my favourite AVN story-wise, I'm a big fan of similar games with fantasy setting and The Seven Realms potentially have the richest and the most interesting story I've seen so far.

Visually, the later stage of the game looks amazing, lighting is just on another level compared to First Realm, same with animations and ability to change angles as you want. Difference between the First and Second Realms is very noticeable but early graphics and animations also doesn't disappoint.

Characters are written quite well, their personalities are distinct and design looks really good and quite unique.
Story, as I mentioned, is very interesting and exciting, intrigues and betrayals, difficult decisions, plot twists and mysteries that are left to solve in future updates, everything is on point and doesn't leave player bored for sure, at least it was like that for me.

It might be less important but UI in The Seven Realms looks really awesome and unique as well, I love their style. What I really like and respect about these developers is their professionalism if I may say so, their thoroughness, impressive progress and approach to developing. One of my favourite parts is their website that contains various information about whole game, characters and future teasers, really good job here.

And of course music, I can't express enough how much I love their music/ambient sound through whole game. Even if there aren't dozens of different melodies and sound effects, those that are present in game fits the overall mood and atmosphere perfectly, not a single time I thought that I'm getting bored of it. Especially Second Realm, music in Pythonium is legit the most memorable and one of my favourite soundtracks among all AVNs, shoutout to person who made it.

Overall, if you're looking for an AVN with rich and interesting story, solid writing, great music and amazing characters - you should definitely try this game and most likely you won't regret it.

Great game. I say it's gonna be one of the greatest here on this forum. The renders are good, though it has some flaws in the beginning. The plot is interesting and pretty captivating. The models are hot, though the sex scenes are a bit confusing, and you don't have the option to bang your enemies after putting them into submission, kind of a big turn off
The thing I dislike the most about this is probably how the main character isn't consistent, and a lot of the time appear weak, especially in the second episode . Hopefully shit gets better in High Lathión.

This is a must-play game. It's the one I felt compelled to write a review about and spread the word.
Author understands what makes a character "tick", how to use lightning and poses well, great animations (in the later parts of the game, initial ones had some faults).
Most of the girls are compelling in one way or another, main love interest is cool, decent variety, lots of three- and foursomes, all animated.
Very long story (though because it develops very quickly, I felt detached, like in the other games where you get the girl immediately without trying).
Because the choices are so polarizing, you really have just one path, so its kinda a kinetic novel, unless you want to act out of character and be a psycho.
Still, writing issues aside, it's a highly recommended title and I can't wait for the future c hapters.

Plot is good, the writing is a bit cheesy though. Cheesiness aside the writing is above average, and its well edited - there aren't spelling mistakes / grammar issues. Not sure why some other reviewers are hating on the art, its not top tier but it is definitely good. Animations are decent, especially considering the quantity of them.

The amount of content for a game thats been out for 2 years is stellar. There are few games that are being developed as quickly as this one, and its nice to see a game that actually is on track to be completed at some point rather than cutting off in the middle of the story or a rushed ending. The plot is also advancing at a reasonable pace rather than updates going towards irrelevant side plots.

I would rate it 4.5 because it can be cheesy (feels like a book teens would read at times), but its fair to give it 5. Theres few games putting out as complete a package, and even fewer are putting out the level of content as consistently.

Pretty enjoyable journey with lots of likeable characters. The characters are likeable, but not devoid of flaws. Also, the renders are pretty much incredible. I've seen many animations and effects I have never seen in any other AVN so production value is top notch.

My only complaint is that the MC loses protagonism as the story progresses. Of course, other characters should get the spotlight from time to time or the world would feel empty, but by the end of the current content, all of the protagonism is on the harem. It's about their flaws and their growth. I also get that the MC is an ancient being, but even he needs to grow, considering there are even more ancient beings.

Also, there are many drawn-out conversations where the MC doesn't even get a single word in and there are even some cases where you are penalised for interrupting the conversation. If this is fixed, this could easily become my favourite AVN on the site.

So many notably excellent things about this game, and so many glaring flaws in it's execution.

This game is an anomaly in that they seem to have done all the difficult things really well. I love the plot, the characters, the universe and all the relationships. The , script, dialogue, design and overall visual appeal of the game is top tier but the animations are generally very weak. There are more rendering flaws than i've ever seen in a game like this.

The game and story have me compelled to continue playing in spite of it's sloppy execution. It's a stark contrast to so many games that prioritize visuals and fall so short on writing and world building. My wish for this game is that the production get handed off to a more experienced, polished crew.

Seven Realms is 3/4 of an absolute all time classic.

On the plus side, the females are pretty good looking, the writing is solid, the overall plot is interesting, and the sex scenes are frequent. However, the unfuckable enemy females are really unnatractive, which is a pretty stupid spoiler.
Some of the sex scenes are good, while others are pretty bland. The addition of multiple angles in realm 2 is a very good touch (although I'd prefer more first person POV, but that's just me). The "continue" button in the scenes is really confusing, since in most games it means "continue [to the next position], but here it means "continue [in this position]", which means it does the same as not clicking. It should be removed or at the very least renamed. I'm not a big fan of the MC's thoughts during the scenes as well. Something about them just doesn't vibe with me. I think it may be that these lines are somewhere between natural reactions to sexual events and a detached narrator telling the viewer what the MC is experiencing. Maybe it works for some people, but I don't like reading this middle ground. Sexually, this game is strong, if not perfect. Maybe 4 stars there.
Also, it's not really explained why the MC's girlfriend(s) grant him license to fuck absolutely everything. I'm not a fan of the whole "mate bond" magic thing.
Ba'el's name is a problem. It's clearly derived from the semetic deity Baal/Ba'al, who comes into Western culture through Judiasm (and then through Christianity). However the ending "el" is Hebrew for (basically) "of God". That's why so many Jewish names end in "el": Michael, Gabriel, Rachel, and a bunch of other ones which I don't remember off the top of my head. Renaming Ba'al to Ba'el is extremely ignorant, at best, and offensive, if intentional. I'm going to call him "Ba'al" instead, because it's better.
Also, I don't like his face.
The choices, however, are frequently terrible. Frequently, you have the option to either do A. nothing, or B. "punish" someone by murdering them. I'd like a middle ground between being spineless and a psychopath. The MC also frequently fails to give the important women the chance to give input on choices, even when they should be the one making the decision. Generally, it seems like the MC and/or the writers don't respect them.

Graphically, the game stands at a high level.
Story - Very and engaging
Music - On point although it can sometimes be annoying due to the fact that it is looped and sometimes one song flies too long.
Models - At a high level.
Girls - Not counting the three main girls and maybe a little Gina the rest of the girls although they show some personality you don't build a relationship with them, they just jump on the MC dick.
MC - It was enjoyable to play, respect to the developer for not supplementing the story with a million of his thoughts and presto for the fact that the protagonist is not creepy.


Definitely a game worth playing but.

The start of the game is tragic, we meet a girl who is forced, we have activity with her in bed and boom six months later xD
So much is good that we have control over who we want to sleep with, even the forced ones.
Dev tends to forget certain details in the story and doesn't return to them leaving us in the dark just jumping in with the story two weeks later, for example.

Back in v0.11 I didn't think I'd enjoy the game as much as I have, Now in v0.19 It has quickly climbed the ranks to be one of my favorite VN's to go through, Probably #2 or #3 on my listen currently, (Nothing can beat Sorcerer by Talothral to me). I'm very excited to see how much this game will progress!

Unbiased Seven Realms Review.

Pros
-Good amount of content so far.

-Lore rich universe, similar to Underworld.

-Ui is great and the game feels polished in that regard. No bugs no crashes.

Cons
-Firstly you're literally stuck with the first girl you meet in the FIRST minute of the game. Stuck as in your characters become a couple through vampire bond crap.
Writing a character that we are loyal to without even any ounce of prior history other than we had sex and then timeskip for 6 months is horrible for the player to even bother caring about the character.


- Sex scenes are very poorly made and uninspiring.

-You barely remember some of the characters but then down the road you're given a choice regarding their plotlines.

-Literally zero inclination to fuck any character in this game, Twilight had a better romance and that's not saying much.

Overall it isn't a bad game if you just want to be buff vampire overlord and do the same chicks over and over again. But as far as fantasy stories could've been written in an AVN format, this one misses.

Most games find me repeatedly clicking through boring, mundane, pointless, conversations in an attempt to find something interesting. This game had me immediately regret that bad habit, as I've had to back up multiple times in order to read conversations and narrations because of my growing interest in the story and lore that the author created. While some of the sex scenes do feel a little forced and rushed, overall the best part about this game is the story development. I want to see a full on tv show based off of this story. The dev needs to write a full book series off of this game. I would read it.

The game has an average to good story, above average renders, you do have choices and all. Even if the game doesnt stands out for any of these aspects they are good enough and i would not take away any stars in any of them... but the weakest points for me is the sex and the "romance aspect", and this takes away 1 stars from each... theres no much build up, no chimestry or sexual tension

1 - MC is chating with Leyala, we have a option to have sex with her or not. If we say yes, next render he gives her a kiss, next render shes walking to the bed already naked while mc is lying already naked on the bed, next render shes already giving him a BJ........when sex ends, we can choose do it inside or outside, next render shows where you chose, next render MC is talking with the black guy later on the same night.
2- MC is talking with Mei and she offers sex. If you say yes, then theres 2 renders of them saying "for science" to each other, next render shes already sucking his dick with both of them already naked, when it ends you can choose inside or outside, theres a render of it and update ends...yeah, just like that. ..And its almost the same for any sex scene i can remember..some have a bit more but still not enough to create sexual tension
Its like they didnt want to make a porn game and just attached some sex scenes to it, so even scenes with major characters seems like filler sex.
For the "romance aspect", characters dont seem like they are really close because the romance development is not good,... this game was not able to convince me that MC really loves any of the women, the relationships seems artificial and without substance ...and the way sex scenes are constructed doesnt help.
